Trump Calls Out Romney Again | Talking Points Memo

President Trump didn’t miss an opportunity to call out Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) once again.

Shortly after defending his abrupt decision to pull U.S. troops out of Syria and the fallout that has ensued from the move, Trump pivoted to clarifying what he meant when he said that Republicans need to get tougher and fight — and criticized Democrats while doing it.

About Democrats

“They’re vicious and they stick together“

Well, vicious maybe.

“And they all carry switchblades!”

I guess Donnie Jr is an authority on guts, having once seen some from a distance when one of his guides dressed an animal he shot from a safe distance with a very expensive rifle.

“They’re vicious and they stick together — they don’t have Mitt Romney in their midst,” Trump said, marking the second time this month when he’s called out the Utah senator for criticizing his attempts to get foreign governments to investigate Joe Biden. “They don’t have people like that. They stick together. You never see them break off.”

Personally, I think it’s a really smart move on his part to smear the uncle of the chair of his party.

She may have ditched the name to keep Spankee happy, but guarantee you that Spankee will spew in her direction as well.

Let’s see how that works out for him.

It’s weird that the president doesn’t know more about the people in his neighborhood.

In a statement made earlier today, noted personage R. Hortense Corvidae released the following:
“It is well known that ravens have ugly, protrubrant beaks, scaly feet, and are a sooty black in color. They fight dirty and have lousy ideas on foraging.”

And sane, rational, wealthy people will continue to ignore this place as a valid place to spend money. It’s already in trouble. This won’t help.

Some sniffing going on during that clip and Mitt Romney scares him.

As she promotes this on Fox News. She’ll go third party all right, claiming that, although she said she wouldn’t, reluctantly, vast swaths of the adoring public are begging her and she just can’t let them down. Bet on it.

The Repubs are no longer the party of Lincoln, but one example:

Executive Mansion,
Washington, July 13, 1863.

Major General Grant
My dear General,

I do not remember that you and I ever met personally. I write this now as a grateful acknowledgment for the almost inestimable service you have done the country. I wish to say a word further. When you first reached the vicinity of Vicksburg, I thought you should do, what you finally did – march the troops across the neck, run the batteries with the transports, and thus go below; and I never had any faith, except a general hope that you knew better than I, that the Yazoo Pass expedition, and the like, could succeed. When you got below, and took Port-Gibson, Grand Gulf, and vicinity, I thought you should go down the river and join Gen. Banks; and when you turned Northward East of the Big Black, I feared it was a mistake. I now wish to make the personal acknowledgment that you were right, and I was wrong.

Yours very truly
A. Lincoln
