It’s obvious he was an impediment to the grifting which Toadglans said he would personally oversee.

This is really a step towards fascism. I can’t overstate how dangerous this is. The IGs are the few people who can hold Trump’s corruption to account, and they have been doing so. Now Trump has decided to take them out, so that he only has sycophants and grifters, and can use the full machinery of government to lie and cheat to win re-election.

Trump is trying to rig things, and the democrats must stand up, and make clear that they will stop him, using their ability to block funding is need be by (a) passing election security measures, and (b) by putting in iron clad controls, not ones that require courts (since Roberts has shown himself to be a partisan hack, and the Supreme Court will do Trump’s bidding) but that automatically remove funding authority and budget.

Meanwhile Bernie fiddles as Rome burns…

He’s not fiddling, he’s “assessing”. Hopefully, the Biden landslide vote count by all the heroic Democratic voters in Wisconsin today will put an end to his quixotic campaign.

Eventually Trump will simply give the entire $2 trillion to Jared who will distribute it as he sees fit.

I’m not surprised at all. Repubs will do ANYTHING to win, while Dems. would rather lose repeatedly with all their principles intact.

Replace him with someone who will overlook Trump crime family skimming.

Spanky will appoint Inspector Clouseau to the job. Or Allan Weisselberg. He knows how to make things run on time.

Wouldn’t it be easier to just pass a Constitutional Amendment banning all oversight and accountability of the Trump administration, rather than have all these ad hoc firings? I’m sure McConnell and most all Republicans in Congress would be fine with that.

And if she was a hold over who held her over? Mister can’t get anyone to take a job under him?

Ok this is dangerous. He is firing those in charge of watching. Who is the IG in charge of federal elections? That person should have someone taste their food.

Trump’s war on the IG’s continues. That’s two since Friday, I’m sure there will be more.

Trump has lost confidence in acting Pentagon inspector general Glenn Fine.

You know, it is very important for our great leader to have confidence, CONFIDENCE I tell you, in his IGs. We can not allow a situation where Mr President has to put up with IGs who are not wholly onboard with his abuse of power. He needs confidence they will at least allow him to abuse his office any way he wants.

There are a few more IG’s that will be axed…both for daring to tell the truth. Christi Grimm and Ann Maxwell.

The report’s findings of shortages at key hospitals also corroborated previous press reports from hospitals in New York and elsewhere, which are facing severe shortages of vital medical equipment. According to the HHS report, its purpose is to provide a snapshot of hospitals’ experiences amid a growing number of coronavirus cases and doesn’t serve as a review of the department’s response to the outbreak.

The senior HHS OIG officials who oversaw this watchdog report are both women: Ann Maxwell, the assistant inspector general for evaluation and inspections, and Christi Grimm, the principal deputy inspector general. Grimm, whose name is on the report, is a career official who entered her current role in January but has been with HHS since 1999, serving under both Republican and Democratic administrations.

They need to get documents to the media asap. I doubt any of it would be classified, would it? Just in case.

“…Spanky will appoint Inspector Clouseau to the job…”

You’re not far off. He will replace him with an incompetent who will ignore corruption in the program. Which reminds me, the Trump crime family has a vested interest in this pandemic being prolonged. There’s money in human misery.

Clouseau at least tried to do the right thing. He just happened to be comically incompetent. But this ain’t opera buffa; it’s real.
