Long after his presidency, when we’ve all forgotten this event, Trump will be slumped at the jail cell desk, drawing weather maps, asking the guards for historical meteorological data, muttering about early forecasts, saying something about Alabama.

Let me be the first. He is the emperor insisting he had new clothes. Nucking futz.

As President Trump continues to dig himself ever deeper into this completely avoidable hole, he’s discovering what most of us have already come to accept, There. Is. No. Bottom.

This is, like, insanely incorrect. Shep Smith is in touch with objective reality, but he is in no other way a “liberal voice.”

This just can’t go on long enough for me.

Fact is Alabama was never at risk! Early in the whole timeframe of this storm, Alabama had a 1% - 5% chance to experience high winds - that’s it. Trump said Alabama was at a high risk long after the maps/probabilities changed to the risk only to Florida, etc.

I take it I am not alone that I want to shout at the shitgibbon to give it up already? My God, what an embarrassment. And the only way Shep Smith could be classified as “liberal” is if liberal means in touch with reality.

It’s almost outlasted the entire storm…

the President was “just looking for acknowledgment…"

Edited for generality. The core of the 45 maladministration in a nutshell.

“Just because you slept with someone named Stormy, it does not make you a weatherman.”

It is almost as if he lacks even a shred of compassion for the victims of the hurricane!

Odd… Trump tweeted yesterday about calling the Governors of North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia…

But not Alabama???

I caught that too and said to myself, wtf?

This point really needs to be emphasized. We should not let the media get away with equating “conservative” with “personally loyal to Donald Trump”.

Shep Smith isn’t a liberal and anybody who claims the opposite is simply lying. This isn’t up for debate.

Did Trump just assume that, by the force of his power and personality and superior intellect and analytical stable geniusy mind, he could get John Roberts to issue a Fox News Bulletin proclaiming that Trump was right all along and that he’s been absolutely correct about everything he’s ever said and done?

Or, was he just in need of a friend who would listen and possibly nod in agreement, since everyone else he knows had finally moved on to other things - so he turned to the first person with Fox attached to their name.?

“He stressed to me that forecasts for Dorian last week had Alabama in the warning cone,” Roberts wrote in an internal Fox email regarding his meeting with Trump, which CNN obtained. “He insisted that it is unfair to say Alabama was never threatened by the storm.”

If only there was a record that would confirm or deny what Trump is saying…
