President Donald Trump has painted a cheery image of the COVID-19 outbreak soon being tamed enough to reopen the economy while downplaying the death rate, but the federal government’s recent purchases signal that his own administration has a more grim outlook on the pandemic.
So much winning.
Yeah, 63,000 deaths. Not so bad, right?
And for whom are those body bags? Members of his campaign team? Members of the Oval Office staff? Unccoperative DOJ employees?
Perhaps they just want to corner the market so they can sell them to the States at a profit. You know, an investment opportunity.
Does Ivanka have a patent on them?
So NOW they’re planning ahead?
My first thought was “Will they have Trump stamped on them?” It’d be more appropriate than having his name written on the stimulus checks.
Hopefully he will hand them out at his MAGA rally’s with a MEGA label on them

About this, at least, he can’t say "Nobody could have predicted . . . " because here’s some pretty firm predicting going on, it appears.
Too bad the Trump administration failed to act in January and February and part of March, isn’t it. It could have provided the necessary number of PPE’s and ventilators, and scientists could have been working on vaccines and other medications to lessen the severity of symptoms.
We wouldn’t have needed 100,000 more body bags. Criminal incompetence and stunning lack of concern.

Does Trump trumpet this is an economic stimulus for US manufacturers or reducing unemployment in blocks of 100,000?
I worked on the system implementation for the Army in the purchasing portion of the show.
The markup here won’t be all that much different from all the other mark-ups the government over-pays. The better question is, who owns the company making them?
Pouches? When I hear the word pouch I think of a pouch of tobacco or a kangaroo.
There will have to be some SERIOUS questioning on this.
