I’m not so sure that Solomon generated anything, I think it’s likely that he was fed stuff and published it instead. I really doubt that, for all their incompetence, Trump and Giuliani would read a news article and run off and do something based on it.
It’s more likely that someone fed Solomon things to say to start setting the stage for the “revelations” Giuliani was going to pull out of Ukraine…remember, he had the first set of Ukrainians working with him until they got pushed out by Zelensky’s election. That election seemed to cause a reset in their strategy, as they froze Zelensky out to put pressure on him, held the funding, and then went to him asking for a favor that involved getting dirt on Trump’s political enemies. It fits, the Solomon articles were really too early to have impact if they didn’t get around to pressuring Zelensky until four months later.
It sure seems like that’s a thread to investigate, any media contacts that were carrying the water for Trump and Giuliani need a looking into to see if they were collaborating on the news or just writing down what they were told.

That is something I would like some journalists to dig into more. It is quite clear that Russia has an interest in Ukraine not getting military hardware from the US, and one way to do so is to launch conspiracy theories involving Ukraine into the right-wing media in the US. So who are the suckers that really believe this, and who are on the payroll? Does Rudy really believe this, or do the Russians have something on him? Or on Solomon, Schweizer?
Anyway, there is a clear Russian angle to this “Ukrainian” story, and an established pipeline that somehow gets this dreck directly into the “mind” of the current President.

Good point. Yes, Solomon is being fed stuff. But it is not clear if the stuff comes from Giuliani and Trump, or if it comes more directly from Russian sources trying to sabotage the relationship with Ukraine.

So in other words, the result of this “official investigation” will be a report chock full of the same BS conspiracy theories Zombie Rudes has been spewing. And they’ll all be coming from the same people.

This is the Acting DNI. The sort of messaging I assume you are referring, would go over like a lead balloon here, because he is not the person to be able to respond to the questions that would support that messaging.
He can’t and won’t comment on whether or not there were crimes being committed by the President. He won’t comment…at least honestly…on crimes he has committed. He will answer process based questions, because that is the part of his job that is being investigated.
This is basically the first day of Pelosi’s “official” impeachment inquiry. Stop expecting it to be like the final 2 minutes of Perry Mason.
