He thought he was going to remain Senate Majority Leader. He blames Trump for losing the two GA Senate seats, and thus the GOP’s majority status.

Blunt won by less then 3% of the vote last time. That makes this seat VERY much in play.

Blunt likes to get things done for his family lobby business. Getting things done is not the role of a politician in today’s Republican party. Today you have to be into performance art. He isn’t so leaving makes sense.
