One too many syllables in the second line, didn’t bother counting the third…
Any non-profit board with 70 plus members is totally unmanageable. No wonder so few wielded so much power. No one knew what the fuck was going on. Or, at least that is what these three would like us to believe.
I believe they know how deep the corruption has gone, and their call for an investigation and now resignations are not so much their being disgusted, but instead their being able to be personally protected from liability when the shit hits the fan - harder.
Their D&O insurance will protect them while others may still be liable, personally, for their failure to be dutiful to the protection of the association.
This may be the beginning of many leaving and gutting what is left of the NRA. We can hope. The end result may be no one left but a few who should go to jail.

Hey at least 3 of them just learned what fiduciary duty to the mission means. Not sure if they or any other board members should escape responsibility here is quitting 4 months after a scandal some new affirmative defense?
Bye bye … don’t let the bump stock hit you in the ass!
When the board’s that big, there’s only one qualification. I wonder what the minimum annual contribution from a board member is. And how much of that has gone annually into LaPierre’s clothing budget.
Wait till the action figures come out. Collect and display them all.
Thanks for taking the time to write the lyrics. First laugh of the day.
From the TPM article:
Oho! After the Russians got done destroying all of the other traditional American institutions, they blew up the NRA, the NRA, on their way out the door!
Finally the oligarchs did something that helps regular Americans.
Well, yeah. They’re still pissed about that whole Butina incident.
“And it don’t matter if you pack a couple extra syllables into a line.”

They were shocked … shocked … to find that the whole enterprise was nothing more than a bunch of grifters stoking irrational fears so that impotent yokels would purchase yet more gunz to (over)compensate for their miserable inadequacies?
My inner musician and English major both scream to hear you say that.
Or maybe 3 Gundamentalist who lost their faith in the Fellowship of the Holy Machine-gun.
Praise the FSM and let us say ramen.
As one who does this from time to time (O Donny Boy, The Duke of Pompe-toro), that was pretty good.
