I deleted my post. You can tell how carefully I don’t read some articles. Looked again. How could any organization function with that many board members. Six or seven is usually plenty.
I asked this question some time ago. Apparently it’s not unusual for non-profits to lard up their boards with celebs who aren’t expected to do anything. These three non-celeb board members did try to do something and got tossed.
I’m assuming you used snark font. The Russians are way past the NRA… they’ve got Len Blavatnik, Andrew Intrater, Alexander Shustorovich, Simon Kukes, among others. Those 4 gave millions to the GOP in 2015-16. I don’t think anyone’s looking into them, but they are all tied to the Russian money network.

So there has been so much self-dealing and corruption that the Board of Directors were supposed to be conducting oversight on that was swept under the rug for so long. I guess when you have 60 or 70 board members that many just look at it as a check and reason to fly to NY for a meeting or two per year.
