This Year’s CPAC Attendees Believe, More Than Ever, That Trump Is A Savior

A man sees what he wants to see and disregards the rest, la la la

One of the most common comments about Trump from non-cult Trump voters and not a few “independents” is that they think he shouldn’t tweet so much and maybe tone it down a little. The implication is that the rest is just fine. We shouldn’t fall into the folk theory of democracy trap and assume that voters make informed and rational choices about which candidate is the optimal choice for governing. Voters do like the swagger. It’s partly why Reagan and Bush Jr. won two terms, even though they were arguably incompetent and faced more articulate and thoughtful opponents. It took a lot, Katrina and a war gone bust for reality and rationality to bite the Bush. Many non Trumper voters like the swagger, spectacle, brashness and brassiness of Trump. If only he’d turn it down a smidge, it’d be perfect.

People aren’t deciding to go for Trump because he represents a viable governing alternative. They’re going for him because they admire an audacious bully.

“Why no, I (burp) haven’t seen this Schroedinger guy at all. Why do you ask?”

Virginia Foxx glitches.

Foxx: Let me make something crystal clear. I don’t have President— I have President Trump’s back because he had my back. I’m with Tresident Trump because he has your back.

The idea that Trump has your back is patently preposterous.

Obviously a disinterested assessment.
How could it be otherwise for a man who’s discovered a new psychiatric syndrome and is a practiced media critic, amongst so many other things.
Truly, we should be thankful to have such a renaissance man in our midst.

As a NYC resident, I wonder: can she knock it down while she’s at it?

Trump is trying to make his companies flee NY, but the state government may not let them go anywhere.

Yes, Donald has morals with which to assess and disparage other people.
To guide his own life, not so much.
Is it really so difficult for these people to wrap their minds around the concept of hypocrisy?

Better option, IMO. Never let that SOB near his properties in NYC ever again. And most certainly Carroll should never return TFG’s money to him through sales of his real estate. In fact, anyone who does acquire his properties should place a protective covenant on each and every deed that T rumpp, and all of his children, and even his children’s children are forever forbidden from owning them ever again. Just like states are doing with the Chinese, New York should forever legally prohibit the Dotard and his family from ever purchasing any property in that state. Forever!

I realize now that that was another Trump midnight posting induced, perhaps, by some hard-up succubus who tried, unsuccessfully, to arouse Trump’s obsolete equipment and instead caused him to get a cell phone stiffy.

Just a fraction of registered voters actually vote, meaning the difference between those numbers is meaningless.

And yet, somehow, they don’t seem to be very happy people.

We can spend years and semesters of seminar attendance delving into, parsing and dissecting this question and come out none the wiser.

I think they have a problem with words ending in “y”. Hypocrisy, irony, climatology, and the rest of them.

Really? Listen: to them, up is down, black is white, racism is good, forced childbirth is the best thing ever, and T rumpp is their Messiah. Obviously, you do not comprehend the joy of hatred and misery, which to every last one of them is their life’s calling. MAGAts are grotesquely happy people.
