Sometimes I think those Ruby Red and mostly rural states are artificially keeping there numbers low (now that its hitting many rural areas) by avoiding any testing (though I think tRump has probably given red states all the tests they want that they’ve been able to commandeer), and using other ways of not reporting the actual numbers through their GOP led bureaucracy. But I guess the hospitals would reflect an actual increase in cases, except if the state doesn’t bother to collect them rigorously enough or report on them accurately. That’s my conspiracy theory for today. Makes more sense than the crazy bullshit I hear out of these tRumpsters anyway.
Here in W. MI there is barely any testing going on. I haven’t heard of any to this day. Plus, I went to get my second shingles shot, the booster, at my doctor’s office last week and I asked him if there were any tests available for the virus and he said they haven’t done one yet there, that they have none to offer at this multi-doctor location that already has various in-house labs. It’s one of many that are affiliated with the larger hospital system here. He said however, he’s on an emergency call up for doctors should the virus spread to overwhelm the hospital system here. They volunteered him to work in the fight against COVID but aren’t giving his patients at his office any way to know if they have it beforehand so they can self-quarantine. Just plain dumb.

Election day is coming. Request your paper ballot now. Don’t allow anyone you know or love that is affected by this to be disenfranchised. Check your voter registration and make sure your voice is heard in November.
This has helped a whole lot of disappointed folks regain some of their power and get mad rather than sad. The same needs to be done nationwide.

Well I believe Tyson Foods is an Arkansas based company. And AR does have meat processing plants, but they look small. I wonder why Tyson doesn’t have a large facility in their own backyard? If the virus is going to show up in AR it should be in a meat processing plant.
Meanwhile our Corporate Controlled Conservative Press is showing their bias toward these thugs the same way the gladly gave free publicity to the Teabaggers in 2010.
No worries. Had on-again, off-again thunderstorms here in St. Louis, too, all day yesterday, and looks like the same today. And then staying up all night, except for about 3 hrs. sleep, watching text files get processed across my laptop is just as exciting as watching paint dry.
Walmart headquarters is there too I think. Wonder if they’re working from home in their McMansions, but then again, they probably always have done so. Just calling it in…
I know. Trump is breathtaking in his display of weakness. And the GOP gives him a megaphone to trash anyone he wants. No class at all, the lot of them.
I’ve said this before too, I assumed like I think most people there would eventually come a breaking point, a line they couldn’t cross. Somebody would grab his wrist and say no, enough. Now his egregious flaws have killed upwards of 80,000 Americans and flattened the economy. And that wasn’t enough, it wasn’t the breaking point, there is no breaking point. If his poll numbers don’t fall below freezing there never will come such a point. I didn’t envision this, I don’t mind admitting. They hate us that much more than they love the country.

Actually, there’s a kernel of an idea there . . . get a private war going, and institute a draft of everyone who already has their own assault weapon and kit. Beat the drums loudly enough, promise the DeathEaters the opportunity to use their weapons for real. Deploy them against the enemy and no matter which way it goes, everyone wins. The cultists get to play out their fantasy war games against people who actually shoot back, and Society as a whole no longer has to put up with them.
Thing is, it’s really more cowardice than anything, it’s a rock and hard place between the non-base voters and the base. If they rile up the base they lose, but they’re already losing the non-base voters, so they’re screwed either way and don’t know what to do. I know this is not a novel observation but my God they let it go a lot further than common sense would suggest you should, yeesh. About 90 percent of them hate Trump and always did.
Ah, yes, the age old hypocritical dance of Republicant’s beefing up the power of the executive only to whine that it doesn’t apply when they’re not in office.
I am not so sure that we will have another GOP gov soon. Michigan voted for Democrats for all statewide offices in 2018. The legislature only state GOP because gerrymandering, and the new independent redistricting commission should reduce gerrymandering.

Remember just a couple of years ago the howling outrage and furrowed brows on cable news when a comedian held up a bloody rubber face Trump head? Even the First Lady commented about how upset she and her son were over it, or so she said. The same standards ought to apply.
