I few years ago we were going to do a Capitol tour. The public entrance is on the back side of the building. We couldn’t enter with the sandwiches in our backpacks. So we went across the street and toured the Library of Congress, which is pretty spectacular. Years ago I don’t think there was security on the office buildings but after 9/11 everything in DC has it.

Yes, women on the right give these men permission to attack women in this manner. Right wing women also tend to hate other women more than even the men do. I’d say that if they stood up to it they could put a stop to it, but they’ve so given away their power within the party that they would just become targets of the ridicule themselves. This loathing among RW women is also why I don’t worry even a tiny bit that they’ll be first to elect a woman president. When they do nominate a woman, it’ll be one who openly despises other women.
I’m OK. Honestly, Matt’s death hit me a lot harder than I could’ve imagined and I’ve been spending less time online. For a time there, I’d get upset every time I hopped on to TPM, so I stepped away for awhile. Plus, life has gotten hectic lately, dealing with my dad’s estate and my guy was sick. I’ve been lurking more and more here lately though. Thanks for asking about me.

So glad you are OK. We need your voice here, but I also understand the part about getting upset every time because I have been going through something very similar. And there is still a very large Mattinpa shaped hole here but am working to get past that.
Sometimes TPM makes me crazy, and sometimes it is the only thing that saves my sanity. Go figure.
