The video of the brutal attack on Paul Pelosi released last week brought a story back into the headlines that, somehow, had faded just days after David DePape broke into the home of the third most powerful person in the country, intending to hurt or kill her.
Water is wet.
That’s just a phase it’s going through.
That’s a steaming hot take.
Did the story get a lot of clicks? Did any of the ads register with them? How many people watched segments of this story on the networks? Did they stay for the pharma ads after Alex Wagner was done vocal-frying her way through the story?
I’m a cynic so I’ll simply say it’s all entertainment and the story wasn’t as entertaining as the audience wanted it to be. As a viewer myself, I was waiting for more details about DePape that were more revelatory. The consensus seemed to be that he’s nuts and we knew that early.
Yes. Yes. Yes. The hate and misogyny on the first woman speaker has been full blow torch cranked to 11 since 2006. It has been vulgar intentional and disgusting
Who will be the next target?
A very depressing story.
For whatever reason…chance, circumstance, etc. I have been around some brilliant females in my life.
I grieve for them, and for this country.

I came here to say, women on The Right are doing perfectly fine, taking the lead on much of the R agenda. They are all being feted for governorships and VP offers, considering Prez runs, heading up RNC, many of the R orgs, climbing the legal ranks. Being as vicious and nasty as any of the R men.
I have to wonder what is wrong when the story about Paul Pelosi getting brained with a hammer is converted into a misogyny diatribe.
Nobody forced her to be at EVERY stop of the R Crazy Train Rolling Clown Show…for 3 straight years.
While he clearly had a dog’s life, it wasn’t any dog’s life.
Yes, MTG’s plaints demand accompaniment on the world’s smallest violin and a sad trombone.
Not to mention the NON-STOP lying – like the $5 BILLION Spork Foot said an elementary school in Illinois received to teach Critical Race Theory.
And then Bang-Bang Veronica says she needs to be armed because she is constantly harassed in the hallways of her Congressional Office building. Which is ANOTHER big fat lie – the public has to go through a magnetometer, and aren’t allowed to wander about willy-nilly.
One of the things that Republicans can’t stand about Nancy is that she delivers. She’s quick with her wit, and she’s gets to the point.
The vitriol heaped on AOC and Ilhan Omar is also due to their being intelligent, effective politicians standing in the way of right wing goals. The fact that they both also espouse populist socialism drives them nuts.
