All this was well known even in 2016. And people validated it a second time. Remember all those bumper stickers that appeared during Clinton’s tenure? “Character counts?” Haven’t seen one since he left office. I guess that applies only to Dems.

Super powers cannot really be defeated by external forces: they can only defeat themselves. America risks giving up its preeminate role in the world due to a mixture of willful ignorance and shortsightedness. MAGA is primarily a village phenomenon. MAGA devotees do not care what happens to America as a whole as long as they maintain dominance in their local spheres.

A friend of mine who is still in denial told me that Trump abolishing the FDIC would not be a big deal. I’m interested in what might get him to take Trump’s wrecking crew seriously.

This is nuts. Maybe there should be a Congressional hearing that includes live testimony from victims of polio. A friend of mine was in an iron lung. She recovered but has numerous health issues including severe scoliosis which interferes with her lungs and breathing.

When something the President-Elect’s administration does that directly affects him actually happens. Your friend doesn’t understand FDIC insurance, so when his bank fails and he’s lost all his money, that will be something he might understand, but his media intake will blame it on the Dems.
