The Trump II Destruction Is Already Well Underway

What’s that?

ETTD.

I don’t think the United States will survive this tcf administration. I just hope many of us, the people, do, and then we can build a better USA out of the ruins.

(Aside: As always, I’m struck that people are doing this for DONALD FUCKING TRUMP. The Roman Republic fell after a) decades of corruption; and b) to one of the greatest and most learned military minds in recorded history, who was in part reacting to that corruption. We’re doing it for a stupid, shallow con man.)

No matter what happens, hundreds of millions of Americans will never find out because Reagan and Bush allowed a media monopoly in their area, owned by an evangelical organization.

America. So sad.

Trump should follow his own prescription for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

And the world would be a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race.

From Marci Wheeler:

Trump is considering killing BOTH childhood vaccines and the FDIC.

I continue to think that WHATEVER went into this Admin (and whoever helped to put him back in the WH and has Trump’s ear), its result may be more effective than dropping a nuke on NYC.

Moe Howard was actually a bright guy. Made shrewd real estate investments and took care of his brothers (Shemp and Curly) and cousin (Larry).

That was the brainchild of Senator Pete Domenici, and was a program for K12 schools, so the little kiddies would be brought up right. “Character Counts” pretty much died when it came out that Domenici had been having sexy time with the daughter of his mentor, Sen. Paul Laxalt, and was the secret father of “love child” Adam Laxalt.

It need not have been related to President Clinton.

Polio! Diphtheria! The classics!

Quickest way to gut these pimps is to let them have their way.

Moscow Mitch had polio as a child and has had (and continues to have) life-long health issues because of it. Our TPM colleague, @darrtown also had polio and continues to live with the results. I went to school with quite a few kids that missed the miracle of the polio vaccine by a few years and got the real thing instead.

There is more to it than that, but effectively yes. MAGA is a what happens when there is no longer any reason to provide a morally superior justification for selfishness.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man’s oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Good observation! Thus, their lack of concern about defaulting on the national debt, failing to uphold treaty responsibilities or just breaking treaties, and in general, being a d*** on the world stage.

Here is the NYT article mentioned on MSNBC below. Fred gifted link.

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/12/13/health/aaron-siri-rfk-jr-vaccines.html?unlocked_article_code=1.hE4.NwrG.foSTeisbA7XN&smid=url-share

Kennedy’s Lawyer Has Asked the F.D.A. to Revoke Approval of the Polio Vaccine

Aaron Siri, who specializes in vaccine lawsuits, has been at Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s side reviewing candidates for top jobs at the Department of Health and Human Services.

The headline is slightly misleading because it refers to a petition filed in 2022, but it showcases the intent, and how long this guy has been trying to kill vaccines, and how we can’t trust him or RFK Jr. when they say they just want vaccines to be optional. They’re lying. BTW, this deep dive reporting is why I keep my subscription to the NYT.

ETA: TPM, please fix the links to sites like this that doesn’t show a preview.

That’s a bit of political trivia I never knew…

Mass death of MAGA is something I can not only live with but would enthusiastically encourage.

My impression is that great countries grow because they can repair themselves, sometimes from very dramatic mistakes.

And, that has been the hallmark of the US over time.

That said, mistakes can be too great to overcome. And regardless, many people die during truly great mistakes.

So my 8 month old grandson might not be able to be vaccinated for polio if these stupid, disgusting morons have their way. Every day leaves me with more fears about living in this country.
