But Trump is fine with some or even all states killing mothers unnecessarily because he didn’t push for a national abortion ban. (Planned for 2.0)
So now, let’s make up hypothetical scare stories about kids, so the most ignorant in our society can tell doctors what to do, and tell affected citizens to just vote Republican, because Republicans are best to fix the many problems they cause.

You know this is one of those FA & FO consequences from the election. These folks claim it was all about “cultural” issues, wokeness, DEI & transgender restrooms. Well this administration is going to come through in spades on that
How happy will they be when tariffs raise cost of living, mass deportation raises cost of food & no more Medicaid? Yup, it’s gonna be hell & when they whine & complain about suffering? Before these cretins showed so much hatred towards trans-gendered people, they acted out in the same ways towards gay people and people of color and people with mental and physical conditions. And the marginalized folks are all eventually recognized as equals in our social and legal structures. Trans people will soon be among that group. That’s the pattern.
But nothing changes over time with the haters. They continue to hate each group, indefinetly, forever, and as each new group emerges as a societal force to be reckoned with and unconditionally accepted, the haters blow another gasket.
But time marches on and the haters are always defeated. That’s the pattern.

I fear this might be a pretty successful way of further dividing us, for a while at least. (I have some long-term hope since bigotries obviously don’t have to be eternal.)
Unfortunately I know more than one female Democratic abortion rights and economic rights and gay marriage supporter–who, in her 40s or even her 70s, says angrily, “I would NEVER want a male on my high school swimming/field hockey/what have you team…OR on my granddaughter’s.” And when I’ve tried to explain, so far they haven’t appeared to listen. No empathy there. Their sports medals are at risk and it’s SO unfair!
So…one more “culture-war” idiocy that pisses another bunch of people off at some scapegoat and makes them suspicious and resentful of people they formerly considered allies but who they’re now leery of because those allies aren’t spooked by transgender teenagers and they really really are. (edited to perhaps clarify)
Unfortunately, the right wing jerks know very well how to do this.

Notable that SCOTUS is granting the DOJ’s cert. petition here. They could have just let the circuit court’s anti-trans decision stand without having to get involved themselves.
