Republican goobers just do not want government to function. It’s not a matter of someone being miffed. They do not want the government to work. Period. They see it as a path to power. The result is we will all suffer for it. The solution is for the democrats to show in stark terms to the voting public what the goobers are up to. Toss this dead albatross back on the goobers. Make them the evil ones for a change. Show us that democrats are trying to make this work and goobers are trying to muck it up.
***** Tom Cotton. Change the rule. And for good measure, in doing so, call it the Cassandra Butts Rule Change.
So no more Cotton picking of nominees?
Anything Biden can do in the way of a middle finger to Cotton gets my full support.
Here’s a start for your suggestion. The emoji for the moment…
When you account for the Senate’s short work week
Don’t overthink it. Here’s one rules change that will bring the GOP to its knees in 14 days: a seven day senate work week.
Yours is the superior comment.
States that would be impacted by Tom’s Tantruming:
Of course, the rules’ change is up to Manchin/Sinema. If they balk, I suggest Schumer generously assign them to the Judiciary Committee so their states can also benefit from Cotton’s benevolence.
On an inferior subject…

So no more Cotton picking of nominees?
Only if some puns about Devin can be worked in.
Otherwise I am unmoooved.

Charles Pierce christened Cotton “the bobble-throated slapdick from Arkansas.”
Here is what I haven’t forgotten on Cotton.
"What Sen. Cotton did is a gross breach of discipline."
OT, but this is too good to pass up.

He looks like Nixon, except not as honorable.
Let’s make something clear… the primary limitation on Senate time is the schedule; the Senate is in session Tuesday morning until Thursday afternoon. If Cotton does this, Schumer should have the Senate in session seven days a week, so if he puts a hold on something Thursday morning and it requires a two-day delay, it goes on the schedule for Saturday morning and everyone has to cancel their meetings at home.
The Senate works seven days a week until every nomination is seen to. And I want to to see Schumer and Durban and every Democrat who gets on TV to talk about this and blame the Republicans for this bullshit.
In an ideal world, we would amend the Constitution so as to abolish the damned Senate. (And carry out a bunch of other modernizing reforms, too numerous to mention.)
7 days a week 12 hours a day or whatever it takes.
