I have had some sure fire ways to make money off religion over the years, real scummy, bottom-feeding stuff that essentially just exploited the poor and ignorant. Unfortunately for my bank account, it turns out that I seem to respect the teachings of Christ more than a lot of self-identifying Christians do.

I almost immediately thought of the New Testament Cigarettes ad from the movie Bananas:

In the rush for AI and Crypto, those concerns are trivial. What it does to the life of the people in vicinity, collateral damage in terms of progress. Progress as defined by the specific players with profit and zealotry in their goals. Progress in terms of the common man, totally lacking consideration. People like Musk are obsoleting humanity and its needs except for their very small portion of it.

I had a similar response. Every time I see “Jesus Saves” signs I think “at Bank of America”. That’s a little less offensive, but very much in your face in some places.
