Just another indication of exactly how brain dead Speaker Johnson and these traitors really are. It appears Speaker Johnson, at the last minute, realized that releasing the tapes in the public domain would put them in the hands of the social media forensic helpers who have managed to ID more of these insurrectionists than the FBI could possibly do on its own.
The end result might make the QAnon morons happy for a day, but would likely result in another 1000 arrests of Capitol trespassers before the Statute of Limitations tolls.
Johnson is in a no-win situation now. Damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t. Good. The House needs a better, brighter and more trust-worthy Speaker.

Right you are, but it’s still probably better in their minds than stocking shelves at the AutoZone in Dothan, Alabama, or running the late shift at the Mickey Dee’s near the interstate offramp for the rest of their lives. That’s because they and everyone they know have the same boring, dead-end jobs. Whereas being a nutcase on behalf of a political cause they don’t even understand gives a frisson of meaning and drama to their pointless lives.
And, hey, they might even appear on local Tee-Vee when they’re arraigned, proving they actually exist!
