On one of the internet’s main QAnon forums, Speaker Mike Johnson’s November decision to unveil tens of thousands of hours of security footage from the Jan. 6 attack was greeted with great fanfare. Johnson committed to publicly release the security tapes, which have been something of a holy grail for Capitol attack conspiracy theorists, soon after he took office. At the time, the new speaker framed it as the fulfillment of a “promise to the American people.”
Seems to me that if I were one of these far-right types persuaded of the rightness of the cause, I’d be angry not that the J6 tapes are being released so slowly, but that they’re being released at all.
Those MAGA insurrectionist yahoos, liars, and cheats seem serially unconcerned that Antifa might get its hands on the footage… Why is that, serial liars, yahoos, and cheating insurrectionists, why you no concerned?
If MAGA Mike hadn’t wanted to blur the insurrectionists’ faces to “protect their privacy”, the videos could have been released a long time ago. Then the volunteer sleuths who analyze them would figure out the insurrectionists’ identities.
I can’t imagine any exculpatory evidence coming from releasing the videos unedited.
The unicorn they’re pursuing is being able to identify FBI agent provocateurs in the crowd, proving that the rioters were blameless and it’s all a big FBI and Deep State plot to incite and arrest Trump supporters. Apparently proving this idea is more important to these morons than the risk of exposing more rioters to arrest if they’re identified.
Keep an eye out for deep fakes showing doxxed FBI agents spurring on the crowd. These are getting to be so easy to make now that it’s going to be very common in 2024.
The QA-Nut Jobs have become so brain-washed by Right-wing disinformation, they expect the Jan 6 tapes to reveal MAGAt protestors milling about peacefully while Antifa, BLM, and FBI instigators fight the Capitol Police.

Any idea how long it takes to obscure the faces of thousands of cultists on tens of thousands of hours of video tape? The crazies will be lucky if MAGA Mike is able to pull off his promise before he is kicked out of fhe speakership. That these social media influencers are bitching tells you a lot about how pathetic and limited their agenda really is.
It’s funny that the face blurring required to maintain the Schrödinger’s Insurrectionist position is likely the main obstacle to a faster release. Also funny that the thing that would prevent the gubmint and lefty liberal commie cancel culture woke bosses from “retaliating” against PatRIoTs is also the very thing that will prevent the Q-Nonnies from playing J’Accuse or Doxxity-dox on alleged Anteefers and FBIs.
They are invested in the shadows being reality. They lose their grip on power if they don’t get to be the arbiters of reality for their fellows (and the rest of us).
