The Ghost of Super Tuesday Past - TPM – Talking Points Memo

I want to see Donnie say bicycle.

(Without slurring it, saying “unicycle”, or telling Sheboygan rallygoers how great it is to be in Duluth.)

“Last week, a grand jury indicted U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez,” Menendez told viewers at the beginning of the show, her first on-air appearance since the indictment. “This past week, dozens of members of his own party have demanded his resignation. I have been watching along with all of you, as a citizen and also as his daughter.”

She continued: “I will not be reporting on the legal case. That said, my colleagues across MSNBC and NBC News, they have aggressively covered this story, and they’ll continue to do so, as they should.”

Yeah, I didn’t know that until her dad was arrested.

But our totally not push-polls tell us that voters are not concerned about Trump being old. Not like that ‘elderly man with a poor memory’.

democracy’s Achilles’ heel is that half of the electorate is below median intelligence
give or take
add billions of dollars pumped into the process on behalf of team stupid by RW media, bad faith actors, and foreign governments
and we have a tough but not impossible climb.

Will he get partial points if he says “popsicle” instead?

The intelligentsia is still formulating fantasy politics

As of 35 mins ago

Republican primary voters who will NOT support the GOP nominee, regardless of who it is:

North Carolina: 35% won’t guarantee their vote for the Republican

Virginia: 36% won’t guarantee their vote

California: 33% won’t guarantee their vote

Biden’s age only becomes a very big factor if something happens publicly besides verbal gaffes. But that’s also true of Trump and he’s carrying a boatload of stressful baggage (made easier by being a raging narcissist).

It’s a marathon between geezers to avoid accidents. Which is a way of saying Trump has mostly overcome the waves of deserved negative press (for now).

But the polls are likely push-polls by the press to horserace the election to death. Voters aren’t being served well by this. Again.

Why is this so hard for anyone or anything to believe?
According to Pew Research-“Biden received the support of 92% of Black voters, nearly the same as Clinton received in 2016 and Democratic candidates for the U.S. House received in 2018.”

I’m a big fan - but must point out that Jim Clyburn represents South Carolina’s 6th District.

Well, I love predictions and I predict Joe will win bigly and the media will complain that it wasn’t bigly enough to over come the undeniable fact that he’s OLD.

Meanwhile, TDIFFG will win less impressively and the media will tout the results as a landslide, because HORSE RACE, POLLS, and STUFF, without mentioning that he’s also old and sounds like one of those guys that hangs out behind Safeway ranting about the invisible snakes.

But what about all the socialism, wokeness (or is it wokeism?), gun-grabbing, liberty-taking, illegal immigrant caravans, groomers, etc, that Faux News keeps telling me about?!?

Edit to add: I forgot post-birth-aborting.

It will have to be a fat tire model. Extra strong frame.

Without Taylor Swift, I’m not even watching.

Joe is an excellent example of age and experience as an asset.

His opponent, who resists learning with every fiber of his being, less so.

I’m watching…but I must admit that the commercials suck.

" … Biden’s decisive victory in South Carolina, thanks to an assist from Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-GA), gave him an indomitable head of steam heading into the Super Tuesday fusillade." ___________ Nope. Clyburn’s endorsement ended any hope the other candidates had harbored to get the Black vote. That endorsement by one ancient politician of his friend put a competent, but elderly man, on an 8-year track to destiny.
