The Eric Adams Case Is About More Than Public Corruption

Patience has limits. I’ve waited patiently for years to see trump handed a heaping bowl of comeuppance. He in my estimation based on his J6 coup stuff is a traitor deserving of what traitors get for punishments, Then there is his “rape” of E. Jean Carroll then his many indictments and his impeachments. And he is so far ignoring it all to campaign for office like he is innocent, It is sickening.
As I said… my patience has limits,

Won’t the SHARPIE ink dissolve if the bodies are soaked in water?

So are the stay-behind people NOT believing in the hurricane power? That it won’t move just a little over to Alabammy?

It won’t be that bad? Have nowhere to go really?
What is the rationale for staying directly in the path of the Natural Disaster?

“To determine whether or not the race is too close to call, we need to calculate a new margin of error for the difference between the two candidates’ levels of support. The size of this margin is generally about twice that of the margin for an individual candidate.”

5 key things to know about the margin of error in election polls
Some statistical rules of thumb that smart consumers might think apply in polls are more nuanced than they seem. As is often true in life, it’s complicated.

People who struggle with the more esoteric features of General Relativity are generally pretty secure in the knowledge that in a Newtonian regime masses attract themselves. As far as I can determine many MAGA folks still believe that heavier objects fall faster. (Don’t play games with feathers and other situations where gravity is not the dominant force at play.)

We’ll build that faucet and make the Canadians pay for it!

No that’s actually wonderful. Perhaps I can respond with THAT.

But did the ‘person’ or ‘people’ keep it up? Governor and Mrs. Kemp got a LOT of threats. Again, I know, I wish I could be sure I would be as brave as Governor Whitmer (for example) or AG Nessel. I am not. I want to THINK so.

Mitt put his life on the line; at least THAT is where I put the Magat Marauders in their behavior.
I am just NOT as dismissive of what he did and what he said. HE must be surprised that his ‘friends’ were NEVER his ‘friends.’
Stuart Stevens’ book: It Was All A Lie. IMAGINE (I really cannot) but just IMAGINE finding out that the basis of your adult life was ALL A LIE.

I assume Zelensky knows at least 3 ways he’d get fucked over on that deal.

If Zelenskyy had killed TCF during their meeting, wouldn’t he have diplomatic immunity?

I hear her name and immediately think: “Little girls! I am in the business of putting old heads on young shoulders.”

But the line I have often reused is “For those who like that sort of thing, that is the sort of thing they like.”

That’s the best thing I’ve seen all month. This needs to become a trend.

It’s not just Trump’s pipe dream…

It’s been kicking around for decades. There was also a plan to tow icebergs from Alaska

Me too. And I’m optimistic that they are. Because the Harris campaign, in the short amount of time they’ve been up and running, seems to be doing the “little” things or the big picture things that have frustrated me when other Democrats failed to do those things.

Such as advertising aggressively in Spanish market media, especially in Florida. Contesting states that lean red but may be flippable in the longer term, reaching out to rural voters to plant a seed that may grow in time, micro targeting various potentially Democratic leaning groups with a salient message.

This helps us win today at the margins, and potentially also in the future if we stay consistent in our messaging and targeting.

There will be tape recorders on top of tape recorders taping other tape recorders.

Only if he recorded himself dismembering Mango while he was still alive.

I’m not denying that he’s doing this. The problem is that he isn’t saying he’s going to do this himself, and none of what he says passes the yelling fire in a theater line of immediate action. Our threat laws are based on individual actions and individual responsibility. Not Mafia Boss hints at what others should do.

What you’re really complaining about, and I agree to an extent, is that the law doesn’t take into account the megaphone that someone like Trump has in the modern world to spread implied threats so widely. But what he says doesn’t turn into a true threat just because millions of people hear it.

We wouldn’t want it to work that way. Otherwise Dem politicians would have to stop calling Trump a threat to democracy, saying he has to be stopped, and everything else that could be considered an implied physical threat.

OT:

We already have rewards, but–hear me out!–we should also have “pre-wards,” which we give ourselves because we’ve come up with something to do but haven’t yet actually done that thing.

At least, this is the explanation I gave my wife when she saw me scooping up some ice cream just now.
