Not sure I completely understand one legal twitter comment (can’t pinpoint the source, sorry) that the appointment of the Biden documents special counsel protects the Jack Smith investigations. Because you can’t attack, cripple or dismantle the Smith probe while praising the Biden investigation? Repubs talk out of both sides of their mouths all the time.
Regardless, I think the Biden special counsel was necessary after the second documents location was discovered, and it should be allowed to play out… hopefully quickly.
