In newly released testimony, the ousted U.S. ambassador to Ukraine told Congress about how she first learned of the smears being peddled against her and how her requests that the State Department publicly back her up went unfulfilled.
Thank you ma’am for your honesty and integrity and for putting the nation above everything else. You and your other colleagues which are testifying are true American heros In every sense of the word. A grateful Nation thanks you.
Seems like Ukrainegate was a planned conspiracy between Trump/Giuliani/Pompeo/Barr/TresAmigos et al…and it originated with the conspiracy theory of DNC server in 2016 being hacked by Ukraine (not Russia).
And so now in 2019, Trump et al has a carrot to dangle to get manufactured evidence of the conspiracy plus Biden dirt by withholding the Congress approved aid, thereby killing numerous birds with one stone or scapegoat - exonerate Russia to lift sanctions, exonerate Manafort for pardons and damage Trump’s 2020 political opponent!
All told, the biggest winner is Putin!
Addendum
So there was another co-conspirator = Sean Hannity
Former Ukrainian ambassador Marie Yovanovitch testified last month that State Department officials told her that they would try to get to the bottom of the smear campaign being leveled against her by consulting with Fox News personality Sean Hannity.
“The official flagged for Yovanovitch that Giuliani, along with his now-indicted middleman Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, were meeting with Lutsenko and “were interested in having a different ambassador at post,” according to her testimony.”
Guiliani, Parnas, and Fruman had no credentials whatsoever for demanding Yovanovitch’s removal except back channel support from Trump. Pompeo sat like a large potted plant through all the shenanigans as the three men bypassed official State Dept. protocols. SMDH
I wish there were some way to recognize this whole class of people, the federal workers who do their jobs well. They were always one expression of the best this country could offer. I have a cousin who’s in the State Department, a smart, hard-working, straight-arrow kind of guy you’d hire for any position, and seemingly as far as I could tell pretty typical of State in the old days. We hear about the disasters in the big government agencies, but things went right a lot of the time and these people were most of the reasons why. I feel terrible for what they’re going through and I wish there were some way to let them know. : (
These people should all be in jail. It is a cabal of motherfuckers headed by the motherfucker di tutti motherfuckers. They are all trying to advance the pro-Putin Ukrainian faction at the expense of the elected government of Ukraine in order to advance Putin’s agenda in eastern Ukraine while forcing them to become involved in US domestic politics on Trump’s behalf.
Since they were working on Trump’s behalf and apparently with his blessing I don’t think the Logan Act applies, but there are probably a dozen other statutory violations.
there was “caution” about putting any kind a statement, because it could be “undermined” by the President.
And this, Ladies and Gentleman, is why the Executive Branch has been a basket case for the last three years. The entire cabinet makes policy using Ouija Boards to divine the intentions of a dementia patient.
Part of their view is the quiet assurance that they are part of a continuing stream of paid professionals.
Not subject to whims.
In the underdeveloped world, government work is often associated with patronage.
I wish I had a hallmark binder of quotes from my relatives who were Federal workers who uttered wisecracks about their president which would be unheard of in the underdeveloped world.
People who nevertheless followed their duties under the Constitution.
With respect to their recognition, I, too, would like that very much, but I also believe that, should that not occur, their feelings about this country would never waver from Proud Stewardship.
U.S. Code § 2381.Treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.
Yeah. I really wish the Media would get off the Biden stuff, because frankly I think it was completely secondary. And if they mention Biden at all, it shouldn’t be about digging for dirt on Bidens…it should be manufacturing dirt.
And I would suggest you just skip the DIRT part, and never mention “for political gain” oh my Media pundits…but use the term “to attack U.S. citizens” or “to attack U.S. envoys” who didn’t fit evil Rudy Bar Sinister’s plans.
Rudy been running this scam for a lot longer than the 2020 hopefuls have been known. This was all about helping Putin, helping Giuliani, and lining pockets. I still believe a real smocking gun about big money for Chump has to be lurking in there somewhere.
The Trump campaign was sending Hannity stuff to review as early as 2016. Hannity is an integral part of the Ukraine/Russia Combined, One and the Same Story Scandal. Hannity needs to be deposed by the House Intelligence Committee.
Manafort emailed Kushner on Nov. 5 and wrote that he was “feeling really good about our prospects on Tuesday.” He said that he was focused “on preserving the victory” and had sent Kushner “a memo deal[ing] with this concern.” Manafort wrote that he had sent the memo to Reince Priebus, the former chair of the Republican National Committee and Trump’s former chief of staff, and “briefed Rick Gates and Hannity.”
