A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) emerged from her White House meeting yesterday without telling Biden what exactly she objects to in the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill for infrastructure, only that she still objects to it, according to Politico.
Sinema has not been told what she objects to by her billionaire owners yet. Once they hand her their talking points she will more than happily parrot them.
More Than 130 Federal Judges Oversaw Cases Involving Their Financial Interests
Finally a place where the media can go to town on their âboth-siderismâ. Iâve not seen a ratio on the Democratic vs Republican appointed, but they are ALL shameful, and should be impeached if they refuse to step down.
Literally the only reason for Sens. Manchin and Sinema not to tell us what they want before the mini bill out passes is that they know their demands would lead to the mini bill not passing. Iâm other words, their demands would be totally unacceptable.
We should vote the mini bill down and see what happens.
My only concern is that I suspect Manchin wants to make a deal, just on his terms, while Sinema might be perfectly happy just to watch it all burn.
Kyrsten Sinema (Democratic Party) is a member of the U.S. Senate from Arizona. She assumed office on January 3, 2019. Her current term ends on January 3, 2025.
Her smug mug in now ubiquitous photographs has now bubbled to the top of my very long list of annoying things. The competition is fierce but there she is.
Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) that despite war hawksâ howls over Bidenâs troop withdrawal from Afghanistan, staying in the country for another year wouldnât have been any more successful for the U.S:
We seem to be in a new political world now. I may be over-relying on this metaphor, but unlike previous sociopathic pols who often threatened to âdrive the car over the cliffâ as a bargaining tactic, the GOP caucus and Sens. Senema and Manchin really seem prepared to do it. I donât know why people who call themselves Dems would be willing wreck the agenda of a Dem president and potentially hand the midterms (and potentially even the WH) to the GOP, but that seems to be where we are.
Because, while they may CALL themselves Dems, they really arenât. Wolf in sheepâs clothing, both of them. Manchin is a bit of a surprise because heâs been fairly reliable over the life of his career, but how did AZ not recognizing Sinema? Or was she playing a part and these are now her true colors?
