Texas Lt. Gov. Gets Roasted After He Suggests The Elderly Should Die For The Economy

Negotiations have resulted in the inclusion of unemployment insurance and a huge increase to funds for hospitals in the latest version of the stimulus bill, according to two Democratic aides and one Republican aide.

The unemployment insurance benefits in the bill would give recipients 100 percent of their salary. The bill would also include at least $100 billion in assistance for hospitals in the form of loans, grants and other mechanisms.

Negotiators also removed the phase-in of direct payments from the original version, which means that lower income people would also receive $1,200, according to two Republican sources. The original bill would have given lower income people less money.

Deaths are a rear view mirror to what was happening two week ago…

The time period of the look back is related to the incubation period which for corona is ~14 days…

The longer the incubation period, the more dangerous the pandemic even for “low” mortality rates.

Recent research has estimated that the Black Death had an incubation period of ~32 days and that it was not the Bubonic Plague…

Edit: Great but pretty technical article

And if you want to go real deep, google “Roma CCR5”, beautiful paleo-medical research…

We can only hope.

I won’t detail his history (you can look him up), but he is his own public shit show.

Though I can’t stand his politics, on practical non-dog whistle issues, he can be surprisingly pleasant, personable and practical.

But, we all know if you give him a microphone, he will say something inflammatory that draws attention to himself and panders to his base. Sound familiar??

At this point, have pity on us as we try to turn this state blue.

It’s the free markets at work taking care of a social problem.

Maybe the libertarians were right after all.

It’s sad to say…but it may take the COVID-19 pandemic to break the spell on those who believe anything Trump says.

You did hear of the couple in Phoenix who ingested chloroquine that was intended for a fish tank… The man died and the wife is hospitalized. Neither had covid.

Is this not accessory to murder before the fact?
For transparency…I am not a lawyer.

Problem: Rups are spraying this shit all over the place.

Oh. I thought the CP used those knives to dismember a journalist in the Turkish consulate. Remember that? Get my point?

Thank you Dan! How about you shaking the hand of every coronavirus victim on their deathbed to thank them for their heroism and sacrifice. Everyone will be happy when you will join the sacrificed on the other side.

That ginsu cuts through bone.

Rather strangely, it seems Patrick is trying to help y’all in that move.

Because the older people he is asking to die, are the ones who vote R. The younger ones he wants to go back to work, vote more D.

Only if folks in the deep south see friends and family get sick. I am not wishing that on anyone, but that is a reality.

grandma ought to let herself die from COVID-19 for the sake of the job market

She… doesn’t… have… to.

Where are the test kits, Republicans? You wanted to run the government, well, run it!

This Lt. Governor isn’t merely saying explicitly what Trump is implying. He is, but more than that, his statements put in high relief what Republican philosophy (not conservatism, btw) has always been: Sacrifice your time, your health, your life for this abstraction called “freedom,” which you will seldom see yourself but a slim few others will enjoy. The pandemic simply unmasks the absurd cruelty of that deceptive philosophy.
