No magic wand but FFS testing and tracking is a doable thing. You do this and this and this and go through the steps and you’re done, you’ve controlled the disease until a vaccine comes out. You know how many deaths they had among the 51 million South Koreans? LESS THAN TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY.* They just cared enough and were competent enough and aware of what their fucking jobs were enough to do it right.
*ETA should not have relied on aging memory. Various reports are of just over 250, 255 in one case and 257 in another. The overall point stands, obviously.
