A day an a half later, after federal funding was gone, FAA support, food stamps, all of it gone…
That might be a moment of reflection for many folks.
Maybe my kin in Wyoming would put their guns down for minute when their federal job pensions are cut off and then pick them up again to forage for prairie dogs, while reconsidering their fascist points of view.

Perhaps they’d welcome the descent into a Somalia-like “republic” ruled by tribal warlords with private armies. Some folks feel as if they don’t need or want civilization if they have to contribute to it’s success.

Here’s one theory.
Mine is that Mitch and Kev are just along for the ride, like remoras on a shark, ready to drop off and pick up the leftover tidbits and then reattach until the next kill.
In my opinion this is an organic, holistic kind of fascism mediated by reactionary White Christian sectarianism. I’d be hard-pressed to identify any real “leaders.” That includes Trump who’s just another remora.

I live in Texas. This is not “mainstream”. The truth is, people who vote for republicans are largely ignorant of this weird platform stuff. They vote against Democrats, whom they have been convinced are “MUCH WORSE”. Because, reasons.
