A lot of things happened. Here are some of the things. This is TPM’s Morning Memo.

Obviously someone must have told the TX GOP that this might cost them votes in the upcoming election. TX just didn’t understand that you pass laws to get the base riled up, if you enforce them it can lead to trouble.

MAGA-world’s fit over Dr. Oz would not have anything to do with his Turkish ancestry now, would it?

Don’t understand why they’re being so skittish about it.

If abortion is murder, it’s murder. Surely if the lady drowned her baby in a bathtub, they’d not excuse that, so why the exception for an abortion?

Surely, in doing God’s work, the prosecutors and good politicians of Texas aren’t saying that one zygote is more worthy of protection than another.

Dietrich had directed the N-word at Austin and Honoré in a Facebook rant posted in February last year

Willing to bet there are more than a few official GOPers who liked, loved, or hit the ambiguous “laugh” at the post. They need to be outed too. These people are dog shit.

Not just ancestry, but dual citizenship. Seems a bit problematic considering who is running Turkey these days.

While her release saved me $50 going to her legal defense fund, I’ll gladly send her $50 so she can sue into oblivion whoever at the hospital released her name to the sheriff.

Ha! Ruble is a soft currency again, like in Soviet times.

All the hullabaloo about Dietrich is ONLY because he said it in public.

Otherwise, 75% of the Virginia GOP would have to resign.

I’m as open-minded about immigrants, and green cards, and dual citizenship as anyone, but if you’re running for a seat to serve THIS country, pick a side.

And as in Soviet times, Monopoly money is worth more than a ruble.

Newsweek reported that Dietrich also called for the “lynching” of Austin and other leaders in DC (via Political Wire).

Then he sounds like he refused to resign until the big guns became involved.

Sick, ignorant racists.

I agree, would a candidate that had Russian and US as dual citizenship be elected? Or China and US?
