Former Obama National Security Adviser Susan Rice grilled John Bolton on his decision to not testify during the House impeachment inquiry during a discussion Wednesday at Vanderbilt University.
This convinces me that his âtestimonyâ would have ammounted to a sales pitch for the book - while slamming Demâs for his imagined âmal-practiceâ. Yeah - I donât think it would have helped either, you asshole.
Good for her, he deserved every bit of that. It shows, really, how he failed as a leader, and the nationâŚa real leader would have defended his people and testified on what happened to him. A patriot would have went before the House and testified, not hidden behind their lawyerâŚwe saw multiple patriots do that, so we know what kind of person Bolton really is, he showed that. And, he deserves every bit of scorn from his inadequacy. He also doesnât get a pass because it wouldnât have matteredâŚyour character is best shown by doing the right thing even if it wonât affect the outcome or no one will ever know you did it.
"âThat, for me, makes it even more difficult, as a former national security adviser, for me to imagine not being willing to come forward,â Rice said. âI would feel like I was shamefully violating the oath that I took to support and defend the Constitution.â
And she told that to you in front of a room full of people, not behind your back. And Boltons response was still pure bullshit.
Heâs ready to drop nukes on another country but unable to testify about the content of a book heâs trying to publish. Yet another GOP chicken hawk.
Not that I have much regard for Susan Rice (Iâm remembering the âmushroom cloudâ bullish*t she spouted a few years ago) but I have to admire her grit and determination in confronting Mr. BoltonâŚwho deserves a great deal more of this kind of treatment. As to his ânot out here flackingâ for his bookâŚpuhleezeâŚthatâs hardly believable.
Bolton is very brave for dropping bombs on people that cannot shoot back, but wants someone else to do the throwing just in case the victims get lucky.
