Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) on Sunday threw her support behind an “in-depth” investigation into the Trump administration’s secret seizing of Apple data records of House Intelligence Committee Chair Adam Schiff (D-CA) and Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA).
If you guessed Susan Collins cares about the rights of any Democratic Congress Members, you guessed wrong. First off, what leaks? Name one. The DOJ under Trump was his personal Stasi.
I’ve had the football pulled away from me too many times not to believe she won’t, when push comes to shove, fall back to the Republican “see no evil, hear no evil” approach to anything Trump related. Fortunately, in this case, Democrats control the DoJ and can set the agenda.
You’ll notice the first thing she is concerned about
“One has to do with whether or not there was a leak of classified information by members of Congress,” Collins said.
She wants to start with the information that was gathered and go through that to see if there was a leak. Doesn’t matter that if there had been, T**** would have been all over it.
. “But the second, which is also important is: has the Justice Department abused its power"
Justice Department? Who directed the Justice Department to do this? Of course, this is Miss Furrowed Brow. I’m sure that once it is determined that there wasn’t a leak, it really won’t matter since the people that would have initiated this are no longer in office, right?
