These accusations are truly embarrassing to the GOPers who are looking up to Trump as their party leader. Guess they will have to get use to more bad news being reported about Trump.

Of course, Maine’s very serious, adult-in-the-room, senior senator is known for her support of rigorous, leave-no-stone-unturned, dogged investigations of Republicans.

(Yeah, she mouthed condemnation of something bad that the GOP did, and that’s better than claiming it’s all a big nothingberder, but this woman flushed her own credibility down the crapper long ago.)

Two things: First, the R’s in office will hand-wave it as lower-level officials in the DOJ getting a little too enthusiastic.
And second, those same R’s know that the MAGAt base – which scares them more than anything else, because they don’t want to be primaried – actually love the idea that Trump would have been trying to dig up dirt on Democrats who opposed him. They elected him to “clear out the swamp,” right? Look for upcoming stories on Fox News about how these subpoenas were justified. Collins is already trying to have it both ways by mentioning that aspect first.

She did not support congress investigating this only the inspector general of the DOJ investigating it. Not bringing folks in front of the Senate under oath to answer questions in public! Why is it news that she supports an investigation that is happening whether she supports it or not?

I heard it the same way you did. 1. Establish “bothsiderism.” 2. Express concern for both sides with furrowed brow. 3 “Support” (not call for) an investigation by an IG or some third party . She is a clever piece of work, and the guy from CBS acted as if he had just heard from the Oracle at Delphi. I suspect that the joke is on us .

The Bidens actually present a throwback image of America. Apple Pies, Corvettes, Ice Cream parlors and real manners. Humbleness, values, service and accomplishment. He may be hokey, but it is an honest hokey.
They turn the idea of the good old days on its head because they typify it so closely. And the Republicans miss the good old days. They keep hammering a return to the good old days and what do they have to put front and center?

Will she join me in my lifelong boycott of Apple? Have literally never bought an Apple product in my life.
Ok, I bought a short charging cable a few years ago for when my nephew, who has an iPhone, visits, as he usually forgets his cable and his phone is usually nearly discharged and he’s using it all the time. And it wasn’t even an Apple cable, but a 3rd party one. So technically, my perfect record stands.
But seriously, why didn’t they fight this and just gave in?

That’s why some of us elect to live a bit farther north. I live 40 miles from Canada.
