What a breath of fresh air from the current Gov of NJ- Phil Murphy. He is a good guy and shows empathy.

SCOTUS is running full tilt.

So SCOTUS is saying there is no legal recourse for a political official doing something like this?

Par for the course for the Banana Republic that we have become now.

It is ok to punish your political enemies even if it means inconveniencing tens of thousands of citizens.

A bit surprising that even the liberals on the court agreed. But the liberalism of the elite has always been seasonal for they never suffer.

The most important result of this is that Chris Christie no longer the governor. He always should have been the one indicted.

What seems lost in all the bullshit is the traffic jam did happen and it was engineered to happen. Forget the reasons…the excuses and the politics…it did happen. Hundreds of thousand of people were negatively impacted by it. Everyone to be served not fucked by government. So despite where guilt lies or does not…it happened. It was deliberate and no one will pay a price. Which means…some variant of it will happen again.

The people of NJ knew what went down. SCOTUS can fuck around if they like but NJ’s knew exactly what went down.

I read what Kagan wrote and I understand the opinion. I guess my question would be this - if a politician or his staff cannot be prosecuted under fraud statutes for lying and doing actions that are purposefully designed to go against the public interest, what type of statutes should they be prosecuted under?

Is there a lawyer in the house?

Republicans are above the law. Our Chief Justice John Roberts is nasty piece of conservative excrement and corrupt party hack. Words don’t describe his vileness.

Maybe they heard there was a memo.

This is bullshit.

@richardinjax @serendipitoussomnambulist

Wasn’t this a unanimous decision? If so, how is that a GOP influenced decision.

He better watch what he says. I infer from this decision that someone else should have been prosecuted.

Right…it ā€˜just happened’…What a great time to be a Republican! You own 5/6s of the government and you use it every single day to screw the American public.
