Supreme Court Strikes Down New York Gun Control Law

Why do they hate America?

Can you carry in the Supreme Court? I know they don’t allow people to express themselves in their presence (fencing).

The law was over 100 yrs old.

It’s time to talk about nullification of federal authority and the dissolution of the United States. Here in the blue states, we have reached the point where we are brought down more by inclusion in the US than we are lifted by it. This country is not governable. The Supreme Court is illegitimate. If we won’t pack the court and reclaim democratic authority over the cretins appointed by the man who tried to bring down America, then the best thing Biden can do for this country is to assist in its dissolution. It’s better to be Gorbachev than Chamberlain.

I live in a region that would govern itself well. We could have a fantastic country over here if we dropped our connection with Dumbfuckistan.

Or shooting at BLM protestors–also justified. I’m thinking of you, Rittenhouse.

It’s very much not. Nowhere is ‘self-defense’ a principle established in the 2nd, nor is ‘in public’. And the NYS National Guard is very much allowed, under NYS law, to have their weapons on them when acting under the aegis of their ‘well-regulated militia’ status.

If it wasn’t this law, someone would have challenged another law.

And who among them has enough self-awareness to feel any shame or guilt. I would guess very few. From my own anecdotal experience, 0 of 6 admit to making a mistake.

And I am glad to be living an ocean away right now.

And being selectively enforced. Some places were granting them, others were pretty much blanket-denying.

The text of the law would have been fine had they equally applied the law to everyone and given equal consideration. That they didn’t is why it got challenged and killed.

The Supreme Court corrected that oversight by the Fabled Founding Fathers. Their original intent is right there in the clear meaning of the text they didn’t write.

Doesn’t justify selective enforcement. Much as I disagree with the ruling, you’ve got to be consistent in your application of the law.

This court bears major responsibility for the gun violence and deaths in this country.

Major responsibility.

“Hide a 22 rifle in my pants leg”
That was the alleged reason for Chester’s limp on Gunsmoke.

It is not tone deaf. Which is why it is so vile. As in so many things conservatives are attempting.

Let’s not give them the cover of being blind.

Well, apparently if the language of the law is changed, it is ok with the Supremes.

The majority should start living in the REAL WORLD and WITHOUT SECURITY.

Again…“well regulated” means no regulations at all. Orwell nailed it.

And speed limits do not prevent 100% of traffic fatalities, so let’s do away with those too.

You know, I really wish someone would come up with a “2A solution” for this vile asswipe.
