There is a great fried chicken place looks like a haunted house during the day. Right by one of the chain motels.

Maybe when I’m out that way sometime…

Can the school district move to dismiss the case because the lawsuit makes them feel uncomfortable and could result in minors having celebratory sex if the students win?

I sort of hope this goes to court, if just for discovery. Like what and how many books do these parents have in their homes, and especially their viewing history on the streaming services.

God I’m so old that I remember Wentzville before they opened that outlet mall that didn’t last more than 15 years.

I didn’t pay attention to much in Wentzville. I spent a few years in Kansas, short time in Champagne, IL, a couple of years in Kansas City, and the rest of the time I was basically walking in my sleep before finding nirvana with a CPAP machine that alleviated my sleep apnea.

So in some respects, I’m still new to the area.

Get their old Family Video and Blockbuster rental records?

Google search history, perhaps?

The Toni Morrison book is “The Bluest Eye,” of course.

Well I went to MIZZOU, so I’d go through Wentzville going and coming.
I also remember that they had a lot small seedy looking motels, mostly for the truckers on I-70. And the Wentzville GM plant, which is one of the reasons why there were a lot of truckers.

I’ve gone out to Wentzville on occasion, when I couldn’t find what I wanted in the nearby Walmart and Kohl’s stores. But other than that, it’s just a name. Sounds like you’re much more familiar with the area than me.

Well I did used to go to the outlet mall…and stop at the McDonalds.
I just can’t believe how built up the Gumbo Flats area is now, and of course all the area west of the Daniel Boone Bridge through to I-70.

And because this is Wentzville I’d like to know more about the parents who are complaining about the subject matter in the books. The population out there used to be hardcore conservative religious folks. But the suburban sprawl reached them in the 90s. So are these complainers from the original families, or from the newbies that wanted to escape the liberals in West County?

You just know that all of them are going to dump on Eric. It’s going all be laid at his feet.
