Striking Number Of GOP Figures Feature In The Fulton County Indictment

Several top members of the Republican Party now face criminal charges for their alleged involvement in the attempt to reverse the results of the 2020 presidential election.

A short while ago, the BBC reported on the indictments.

Whom did they pick to interview?

Some “former Republican strategist”. I.e., a liar, but it fulfills the bothsides requirement, I suppose.

This creature was their goto:

And, as guaranteed, she proceeded to lie and bamboozle the host.

Why oh why can we not have a press corps with a sliver of intelligence and grit? They line up to be played, and then they are played, and they consider that a job well done. (TPM, of course, is an exception.)

(The lying creature Jennifer Kerns starts spewing standard GOP shit around 1:43 in the recording.)

The crime lemmings will continue to follow a lying piece of shit over the cliff, even though they know he’s a lying piece of shit. They don’t call it such or even think it is, but it looks a lot like a death cult to me, and that’s fine.

Michigan and Georgia have prosecuted fake electors. What about the other states that had false slates?

NM and Nevada both had elector lists but added to the duplicate document sent by the Trump Team that it was all contingent on ‘somebody’ declaring them the real electors.

So they recognized that this was all iffy. (I am from NM and Biden won by over 5pt (I remember 7 but don’t feel like googling) so I never figured out how WE made it onto the fake elector list.) I can literally see the argument in GA and AZ and WIS (very close all three) but Michigan and Pennsylvania were multiple point wins for Biden. In those cases the GOP wanted to disenfranchise ALL of Detroit and Philadelphia and the word unprecedented is used 50M times a day but ‘that’ would be unprecedented!

Forgot: I really wanted Lindsay Graham to be indicted.

But I guess ‘his’ phone call ‘did’ fall under the ‘speech and debate clause’ exception.

Phooey.

Or, after all his resistance to testifying, was he a more cooperative witness before the grand jury?

Yes, but Lindsey’s stream of bullshit about all this in his morning comments should prove most interesting, . . .and most informative about his own moral corruption in this.

What Garland couldn’t or wouldn’t do, Fani did it.

trump will want to say, Take the load off Fani and put the load right on me. Thanks Robbie

Man I could go on with this, but somebody with a lot more wit will write a parody.

Anyone can charge; let’s see who she can convict. That’s an awfully ambitious indictment.

Which is a maddening understanding of “both sides.”

“There’s law enforcement. And there are Republicans.”

I mean, if they really want to frame it that way, I might actually be fine with it.

But they’re feeding into, “One side is Republicans, so the other side is law enforcement acting on behalf of Democrats.”

Yeah, not cool.

Targeting conservatives is sure to be part of the howl. Fani Willis should say “you bet” because those conservatives made targets of themselves. Lots of charges in this indictment but they all have one thing in common: Dumb asses pursuing a quixotic fantasy. Too stupid to see it having no chance of success and bound to get them burned.

Targeting Conservatives…you bet. The conservatives worked hard to make it so.

At least she did it, and did it big. Fani is on my hero list whether she wins a conviction or not.

The BBC is a right wing extension while under a right wing government.

The UK is trying right now to top our child separation policy by sending all asylum seekers directly to Rwanda.

This is what happens when people lose unions: The jobs get sent away, the rich become the only class with any money, and the right wing rises unopposed.

Bet she only charged where she had them dead to rights with the evidence to prove it.

This is her 11th RICO case. I believe she won them all.

The folks in Pennsylvania put enough disclaimers in theirs, (as I understand the situation), that they can’t be charged… I mean, the ones who signed it can’t be. The folks who arranged for it to be produced, however, were part of a large conspiracy, and the weasel words in Pennsylvania’s Fake Electors scheme won’t save them. [stares hard at Ken Cheese-Bro]

RICO allows her to tell the whole story and show where everything fits in. No struggling to explain why renting a car was a crime when you can add ‘and knowingly lent it to the get away driver.’

Just an old sweet song, keeps Georgia on my mind.
