Of course he did
Trump says Israel’s Netanyahu was not prepared for Hamas attack | Reuters
Speaking to Fox News, Trump, the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, said Netanyahu “has been hurt very badly” due to the attack.

“He was not prepared. He was not prepared and Israel was not prepared. And under Trump, they wouldn’t have had to be prepared,” he said.

Trump’s comments came as Israel was still collecting its dead and reeling from one of the most devastating attacks in its history. It has retaliated with air strikes on Gaza that have killed at least 1,200 Palestinians.

One of Trump’s opponents in the Republican contest, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, criticized the former president over the comments.

“(It) is absurd that anyone, much less someone running for President, would choose now to attack our friend and ally, Israel,” DeSantis wrote on social media.

Trump and Netanyahu had a close relationship during Trump’s time as president, though cracks have appeared in their once ironclad rapport.

Speaking to supporters in Florida on Wednesday evening, Trump again commented on Israeli security preparedness, pointing to “some of the things that went wrong over the last week”.

Trump added: "They’ve gotta straighten it out because they’re fighting potentially a very big force, they’re fighting potentially with Iran.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) ripped some Republicans in Congress when Stephen Colbert questioned him on his “excellent meme game” during Wednesday’s broadcast of “The Late Show.”

Colbert asked Fetterman if it was awkward when he sees those people he’s “put up a devastating meme about” around the Capitol.

“You all should need to know that America is not sending their best and brightest to Washington, D.C.,” replied Fetterman.

“Like, sometimes you literally just can’t believe these people are making the decisions that are determining the government here, it’s actually scary too,” he continued, noting how the federal government came thisclose to shutting down thanks to a handful of Republicans.

“You have some very less gifted kinds of people there that are willing to shut down the government just to score points on Fox,” he added.

Had Trump still been President, he’d have been waiting for Hamas to attack, and he’d have stopped all those rockets from hitting Israel just using the power of his mind! Big, strong Hamas fighters would have walked up to him crying, about how, with him there, they couldn’t hurt anyone!

I wonder if Donnie will sue the “nice” pastor from IL for using his head w/o paying some sort of licensing fee?

I’m so sorry for the loss and injuries. I hope you all continue to recover and what you’ve recently been going through.

It’s amazing the crimes you can commit, yet walk around free to do your job and live essentially the same life as law abiding citizens. Trump, Paxton, Santos and Menendez come to mind. Many probably think why even bother following the rules, even if you’re caught it might be literally decades before the justice system exacts sanctions, and maybe they’ll even lose interest or merely drop the charges.

“With the 10 new charges brought against Santos in a superseding indictment, we now have an even richer picture. Santos, prosecutors said, did much of his grifting both to keep up appearances as the rich man he falsely claimed to be, but also for a specific reason: to trick the GOP’s congressional elections operation into funding his campaign.”

As much as I look forward to Morning Memo, I have to say what my fellow TPM’ers are thinking: Job one: Take care of yourself. Slow down. The world isn’t going anywhere.

Thoughts and prayers are headed your way.

I just cannot fathom how even more horrendous things would be if TFG aka TMFWWNBN was still in office today.

Very sorry for the way life has been dumping on you lately. That’s a lot, and as Chesterton once said, when you’re down everything falls on you.
Hopes for a speedy recovery.
