I was enjoying a beautiful Sunday morning with my wife and our new rescue kitties when I saw the thing that new Twitter owner Musk posted about Paul Pelosi. This is exactly the kind of really insidious bullshit I was afraid of. If this isn’t rock bottom, I tremble for what is slouching our way.
I used to think Musk was one of the good ones - which shows just how fucking wrong I can be.

I don’t think there are as many true anarchists in the MAGA crowd as you’re suggesting. The regular MAGA Joes want to shake up the status quo, yes. But the end result they want is a right wing fascist government that imposes their wishes about gun rights, abortion, LGBTQ rights, and Christian White Nationalism on everyone else. With the big stick of government doing the work for them. That’s a key point.
It’s a hell of a lot more work to accomplish that as an Anarchist, because then you have to do it all yourself, instead of having the government do it for you.

His premise is that the plebes are going to fuck up the Earth anyway, it’s a foregone conclusion. So the elite class will escape to Mars and keep humanity going.
Living like rats in underground tunnels because Mars has no magnetosphere to deflect radiation. But hey, small price to pay for preserving the genes of the techno-elite.

I pretty much agree with you, but you are taking it awful literally. I didn’t suggest any numbers, to begin with, and I didn’t make a distinction about leaders (100s) vs avg. joe voters (possibly 80 million or more). You know there has always been somewhere in the 100 million of this country that don’t vote regularly - or ever. Do you think they are hardened democracy advocates? Technical and knowledgeable fascists? They are under a rock…not some kind of social scientists.
I don’t even think the normal scared shitless R elected official knows the difference between fascist, anarchist, etc. Think Boebert or Empty Greene are making fine distinctions? They are just trying to ride the wild tide. I KNOW that most of the R rabble don’t know the technical differences and haven’t spent any time thinking over the niceties.
But you are right, most of them want the govt. to be monolithic in their favor and to punish their perceived enemies. But their actions are…they don’t care and haven’t thought it out. Whatever pisses them off this month they want DESTROYED…with no care or thought to what would replace it. And at times, that means the whole thing…not just some entity, agency, or group.
But if you just take the people who purport to be their leaders…they don’t have any coherent policy, proposals, plans that they are sharing with their voters. Just break it, burn it, destroy it, and then some vague shit about controlling it. How do Flynn, Bannon, Stone, Musk etc. propose to move forward? With banking, roads, bridges, international relations, trade, China, etc? They don’t have a plan. They don’t have any chops. They don’t have a party, a position, tangible mechanisms…just a bunch of crazy talk and many millions of idiots/buffoons. Surely that is enough to ruin everything and the minute it is all in smoking ruins, a huge chunk of their adherents are going to say WAIT, WHAT? But my Social Security, roads, schools, hospitals, medicines, colleges, legal papers, investments, bank accounts…etc.
