Spineless GOPers Are Apparently Passing Biden Congrats Notes Through Dem Senator

Pour one out for the (unnamed) Republicans who (apparently, secretly) acknowledge that President-elect Joe Biden won the race, but tragically have no choice but to do nothing as their leader strikes a match and pours lighter fluid all over the principles of American democracy as he refuses to concede.

“They call me to say ‘Congratulations, please convey my well wishes to the President-elect, but I can’t say that publicly yet,'” Sen. Chris Coons [said].

Chris Coons trolling the entire Republican Party.

I always knew he had it in him.

That is some Grade A snark. Thank you, Ms. Cabrera.

The Republican party of today are a bunch of cowards.

Trump is a Fascist. Why didn’t the media ask him if he was a fascist. They asked Biden if he was a socialist.

Hahaha! I told my husband last night that I bet that they were privately congratulating Biden or letting him know somehow. I knew they’d never say anything while Trump is still active, and I even wonder how cowed they’ll continue to be once he’s out, unless he is too distracted by indictments.

A factor in all of this is special election considerations. The GOP is afraid if does not support Trump’s claims and accepts a Biden win, Trump will pull his support of Purdue and Loeffler and his supporters in GA will stay home from the polls in January.

Very good, this post, and TTTT I read so quickly I thought I saw “rubles.” And why not.

This passivity is also keeping trumpite voters on their side for their own elections down the road.

“What is the downside for humoring him for this little bit of time? "

How about we’re signaling weakness and chaos to the international community, for starters?

What stupid, spineless idiots.

MSNBC is reporting the daily brief is NOT being given to Biden. They even did this with W during the FL recount. It’s not as if donnie does anything with them.

Why do repubs hate America? Really, I’m serious.

Quote from Esper in Military Times, today: “And who’s going to come in behind me. Is it going to be a real “yes man.” And then God help us.”

Of course they are.

Some of these folks are people Biden worked closely with in the Senate. I’d be truly pissed if I achieved something and my colleagues remained silent because their guy didn’t achieve it.

It’s too late for this to look like anything other than pandering though and I can imagine that this will have some impact in the next election among the rabid.

“What is the downside for humoring him for this little bit of time?"

The downside is the entire world reads accounts of one of the two major political parties in the planet’s most powerful nation lobbing accusations of election fraud, accusing the other party of outright cheating. Goddamned idiots can’t recognize the seriousness of trashing Biden’s credibility before he’s sat down to his desk.

2016 ““What is the downside for humoring him for this little bit of time? It’s not like he’ll really be a terrifyingly incompetent President who will inspire people to violence”

2020 ““What is the downside for humoring him for this little bit of time? It’s not like that disease over in other countries could ever come here.”

For them, to paraphrase two bits from Shakespeare, all the world’s a Fox soundstage, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.

““What is the downside for humoring him for this little bit of time? No one seriously thinks the results will change,” said the official, who refused to be identified by name.”

Everyone decided the pooch was rabid. The evidence was there. The consensus was there. The vet’s said it, the police said it, the animal rescue said it. But out of compassion for the poor animal, it was allowed to run free until the end came. Let him have his time in the sun they say. No harm there. None at all.

Even the law firms representing trumPP including the one McGahn sprang from are having doubts about the ethics of going forward on orange’s baseless claims about election fraud.

I don’t know if they’d take to the streets but a couple Trump lovin’ co-workers are worried about having their guns taken away. Amazing what people believe. And I guess what I believe seems crazy to them, but I feel like mine are usually somewhat provable.
