In my view, there are 3 MUSTS before Democrats should agree to provide any support for any Republican Speaker including giving McHenery power to be more like a Speaker.
- Most importantly a vote on Biden’s proposal that he will present tonight that includes aid for Ukraine.
- As importantly a vote on a 2024 budget that is in accordance with the agreement then Speaker McCarthy made with Joe Biden.
- Having a vote on continuing or ending the impeachment embarrassment led by Jim Jordan.
I mean we should expect and accept that Republicans, being in the majority, will behave like Republicans. We should not tolerate them being traitors and insurrectionists.
Noting that doing all of these things would be good politics for Republicans because they are good policies, will help America, and just as importantly for Republicans free them from the control and otherwise trivialize deplorables Jim Jordan champions.

Word seems to be that Jordan is doing this so he can claim to still be running for the job and avoid being labeled a loser. Don’t think that will help much but TFG has been sticking to that tactic so I guess it’s mostly okay with the base.

With Sidney Powell pleading guilty and agreeing to testify for Ms. Fani Willis and likely Mr. Jack Smith, Jungle Gym has bigger issues to address - like staying out of the Big House. He was a key link between Trump and the insurrectionists on the Hill on Jan. 6th. In these matters, there are no coincidences.
