As the sun rises on day 16 without a House speaker, Republicans are just as aimless as they’ve been throughout. Some are calling for a third vote on Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), who only lost net support between his first and second attempts. Others are boosting Rep. Patrick McHenry (R-NC) for either permanent speaker or an empowered pro tempore — but there is far from universal support for either within the Republican Party.

Did Gym really use the word “abhorrent” correctly in his tweet? At first I had my doubts, but then he’s probably heard it used about himself so many times that he would be familiar with it.

A certain truth about the GOP and Trump and Trumpees like Jordan that should have been obvious for decades, they are first and foremost followers and not leaders.

That is the bullying that has become their main strategy, and in Jordan’s case his only strategy, is because it what his base understands. Jordan supporters may back off Jordan, they will not back off bullying.

The only way the bullying will stop is for the GOP to back off their deplorable base.

Jordan really hopes Supporters of total chaos, ratf**king and violence will suddenly heed his vacuous call to behave like human beings until he can get power, as they are revealing his venal stupidity and completely inability to lead. Oh, and also cuz someone might like, get hurt or whatevs.

Hillary Clinton was widely criticized for referring to Trump supporters as a [Basket of Deplorable](http://Basket of deplorables). She was partially wrong, is not a basket it’s a full supertanker of deplorables.

The republican voters have turned into a mob. And don’t let them tell you that they you “I disagree with the tactics but agree with the principles”, if they vote for the thugs they are thugs as well.

And track down and imprison these MAGA loudmouth bullies whose only answer to an idea or thought that does not coincide with their small mindedness is violence and “do it my way or I will kill you” type of interaction. These are not Americans…they are animals.

Jordan did not write that tweet. He has handlers behind the scenes who wrote it. Puppeteers. He just does what he’s told to do, with the assurance that he will stay on the gravy train so long as he does.

I don’t believe at all that Gym is remotely penitent for the threats made on his behalf.

As always, he’s just mad he got caught and has to look weak and apologize and ask folks to knock it the hell off.

It’s never good for the commander to pull back on a very clear and concise order and Gym has had to do just that.
