Some GOPers Blame Colleagues’ Anti-Democracy Scheme For Fueling Capitol Riots | Talking Points Memo

don’t repeat this, but my post office guys second cousin who works for someone who used to know somebody who almost got a job at disneyworld once said that there is a secret lab in the underground corridors there that clones them.

If you’re a lawyer or law student, please sign this petition to disbar Hawley and Cruz. Your signature will mean a little more if your J.D. is from Yale or Harvard. These jerks disgrace both institutions.

Not only that, but if they are clowns, look how close to “success” they got.

The menagerie of history’s assassins is rotten with clowns.

“Hey, are you guys really gonna nominate Donald Fucking Trump for President? Isn’t that insane?”

“Well, see, all these freaks are voting for him in our primaries! There’s nothing we can do! Now, if he was gay, or Black we could stop him. But he’s not gay, or Black, so …”

I’m not so sure. Remember, even Ted Cruz’s closest friends think he’s an asshole, and his family doesn’t seem to want to be around him. And yet, he hasn’t been shunned by his fellow G.O.P. Senators. Why would they change course now? How much worse is worse enough?

It looks like maybe Hawley’s rising star has flamed out, on the other hand. His home-state backers have soured on him, so he’s probably fucked.

It seems that many people still want to pretend many elected Republicans don’t agree with what Trump has wrought, almost giving them a pass by suggesting they’re just cowards instead, merely afraid of losing their seats.

Check out how many state level Republicans were involved in the insurrection, and let’s wait to hear how many prominent national Republicans were involved as well.

The Republican Party, enabled by SCOTUS, has been determined to enact one party rule in America, the ultimate goal of gerrymandering and voter suppression tactics, and the demonization of their political opponents. That has led to Trump, and brought us to the threshold of a dictatorship. It’s a straight line because they don’t want to modulate their radical ideology, but want to forcibly enact it.

Not an excuse an admission of craven servitude to trump.

Or ever, but thanks for saying it. The cowardice of your colleagues colluded with the violence we saw. The only folks unafraid were those inciting it.

True enough - it’s hardly a parade of worthies. Mostly losers who got off a lucky shot.

That made me think that the GOP should hold its next national convention in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico.

How did 1000s of thse clowns get to DC in the middle of winter, on relatively short notice? Those flights aren’t best price, and that’s never a cheap city to stay in. Looking the arrestees so far, I doubt they can afford bus fare.

Where did they stay and who paid for that?

Personally, I am fucking tired of the fear Trump excuse used by the republican tribe. These enablers are the problem. Are these guys leaders or followers? Was their oath to the constitution or the republican party? They created this monster, they need to step up and make it right for the country.

“Pastor,” huh?

He’s from Texas. He has followers. I’m wondering if the FBI needs to know about this guy?

You’re right - he’d be nothing without his enablers. And they did swear oaths to the constitution and they are violating them.
