The Sinclair Broadcast Group told CNN Business on Monday that it will no longer air a segment promoting a baseless conspiracy theory suggesting that Dr. Anthony Fauci played a role in creating the coronavirus.

So Sinclair isn’t immune to the truth?

Sinclair pushes right-wing propaganda akin to Fox News but is usually a bit more subtle about it. I suspect the main problem they had with this piece was its borderline libelous blatency.

Oh fuck them. First, they already put this on the websites of most of their affiliates and didn’t run any kind of correction before or after taking them down.

Second “There remains an open invite for Dr. Fauci to appear on our stations any time,” the Sinclair spokesperson told CNN Business. You know exactly why he can’t go and defend himself you pieces of shit.

I have not been part of the ‘Fauci is America’s hero’ chorus through this pandemic, but he is 1000x more decent and credible than ANYONE at Sinclair or this criminal enterprise we call an administration.

Not just libelous against Dr. Fauci, but probably jeopardizing ALL of their broadcast licenses.

Don’t you hate when an arm of the Trump propaganda machine decides they won’t fall on their sword for the Chosen One, at least this time.

Meanwhile, Trump is nonplussed and disappointed with his lot in life.

Except, no way did Trump compose this. Too many (but not all) commas in the right places and sounds more like satire than demented.

Yup

A Sinclair spokesperson told CNN Business on Monday that the network decided against airing Mikovits’ interview altogether “upon further review.”

Translation: “Our lawyers have told us airing this segment opens us up to massive legal liability.”

Trump doesn’t think or write with commas. his specialty is run on sentences with no end in sight. i’m not positive, but doesn’t Trump spell sooo with 4 o’s?

Actually, I’ve never seen him use that construction.

Hard to believe that anyone composed this. It’s a study in pathetic self pity over broad and unidentified slights.

But will they put a damn mask on?

On Thursday, Fauci said in a podcast interview with CNN commentator David Axelrod that he and his family were assigned security detail in response to the “serious threats” they’ve been dealing with amid the Trump administration’s efforts to undermine his credibility.

In what sort of civilized country does the chief public health expert working hard and in good faith for all her citizens, and in the midst of a pandemic, require a security detail for fear of an assasination attempt?

And if something did happen all we’ll hear from the RWNJs is them chirping “not me”, “not me”.
