There is always a Florida Man.
How about whistle-blowers and reporters?
(To take one example Iâm familiar with.)
Which should always be one of those âchecks and balancesâ I mentioned. We have a good track record (not a perfect one) with protecting whistle-blowers and reporters. Although, sure, I can imagine some non-law-enforcement entity trying to silence someone. A vengeful CEO, or whatnot. But telling law enforcement they canât protect us by utilizing a legal warrant is not right, either, IMO.
And I am not familiar with your personal experience, so enlighten me if I am barking up the wrong tree.
Josh is just being catholic in his taste.
Iâm sure Susan Sarandon doesnât give a fuck.
They breed like rabbits down here. Come to think of it Iâve never seen rabbits here in Tampa; cause and effect maybe?
Plus Mr. Judis and Our Gracious Host go back together at least three decades.

Hope this links as itâs pretty good
That ED by Judis is the stupidest writing on this site since Lauren Fox used to defend porn star wanna-be GOP/Tea Party wacko Michele Fiore during the Malheur takeover by Ammon Bundy and the rest of those dildo worshippers in 2016.
I stumbled on the phrase âcowering in fearâ, which, by its phrasing, plays directly into the Proud Boysâ preferred representation of the situation. Werenât the members of Congress requested by the Capitol Police to crouch down? Or, were they really cowering?
Line I refer to is below and at the end of the article:
On Parler, one Proud Boys leader posted a photo of members of Congress cowering in fear and captioned it with a menacing statement: âToday you found out. The power of the people will not be denied.â
Iâm just curious about your knowledge of the events of next week?
Any chance they could have inauguration ceremonies at another undisclosed location? Since COVIDâs still an issue, itâs not like they want crowds anyway.
Thereâs a local pastor here that has been ID in the news/FB that is claiming âstanding for the first amendmentâ as being his excuse for being there. It doesnât appear that he participated in the breach at the Capitol, but most of the community response Iâm seeing isnât buying his excuse. He has since scrubbed his social media accounts, but some of it was grabbed before the scrub and indicates there was more to it than defense of the first amendment, including a pic with the guy in the fur hat/horns that is from another rally in Arizona.
Just for background: The Battle of Fort Sumter was the bombardment of Fort Sumter near Charleston, South Carolina by the South Carolina militia, and the return gunfire and subsequent surrender by the United States Army, that started the American Civil War.
Thank you for the introduction and analysis, and premise.
Thatâs got nothing on an AC-130 âPuffâ, or a full load dropped from a B-52 âBuffâ.
Ok. So, people are wondering what the new, reborn (current) Republican Party standard-bearers can remold themselves into. I would suggest: The Lunatic Party.
By the way, I am a huge fan of the Animal Alphabet (How much more fun than an alphabet get?) with Geoffrey Giraffe. Any connection?
I suppose not in terms of total firepower but it also seems a lot nimbler and more precise than those guys. Iâve seen these videos where our guys are pinned down and they call in the Warthog and the nuisance is abated forthwith. Pretty much ends the discussion.
Itâs Judis article, everything that guy writes here tends to be either blaming Democrats or just bad advice for Democrats. Iâm not sure what Josh owes him in his personal life, but it must be a lot to allow that guy to keep posting here on Ed blog.
With the pointing system, the Puff can keep firing at a given spotâincredibly preciselyâfor a LONG time. A Warthog doesnât have that trick. And the accuracy of an iron bomb with a JDAM kit is also pretty darn precise. No matter, I wouldnât want to be below any of them when theyâre armed and angryâŚ
