Action and obeisance to these demands are not the goal. Republican silence and Thomas’s refusal to take ethical action set an example of who is willing to scuttle their credibility and lean into corruption. The demonstration of both is the goal. Any action resembling acquiescence of these demands is a surprise gift.

Ginni Thomas is an extremist conservative very active activist who was working quite hard to see the GQP overturn the last election in favor of Trump. It is difficult, if not impossible to believe that she kept her opinions and activities a secret from her husband, especially based on Justice Thomas’ consistant opinions favoring Trump’s causes.
The only conclusion is that he must resign or be impeached and removed from the court.

It’s what the Newsmedia does nowadays. They are naive in their sophistication and, quite frankly, find the brokers of authoritarianism, like Trump, Hawley and DeSantis, to name a few, more fun and more entertaining, than a mere democrat (small d) like Biden. I think there’s some ageism there too, (Joe is totally not cool) but that’s just me.

I agreed completely with the last line, because the reality is that is what needs to happen.

I think Ginni Thomas is not a conservative. Or even a traditional radical. Supporting and advocating for lies and being against our election system marks her as something else but I would not call her a conservative. Anti-traditional American? Liar for supporting obvious proven lies? I don’t have a name for what she is. And if she has advocated for all of this to her husband … well then it’s a HUGE conflict of interest in any election case before the Court.

That train left the station many years ago. The current Supreme Court has neither integrity nor legitimacy. It is a partisan body that decides cases in ways that benefit Republican interests.

As I understand it it’s pretty much illegal to broadcast anything in Russia about what is going on in Ukraine. The average Russian is in the dark about what their military is doing. If they knew they’d rise up in anger.
