I distinctly remember being asked to give disappointed little president Trumpiekins some time to accept that he’d not exactly won, so to speak. Be understanding, they said. Just putting that out there.

Can we lock him up now?

How about now?

So are McConnell and McCarthy going to let Trump get away with treason?

Of course they will because they were in on the coup plans, too!

This definitely calls for more Trump PAC fundraising.

And whining and name-calling and attempted bullying.

Because that’s what stable geniuses do.

So do losers.

There’s no telling how many absurd excuses/explanations have facilitated the making of the orange monster, since he was a little kid. “Just locker room talk.” “He’s learned his lesson.” “Give him time.”

There’s a telling story from Mary Trump’s first book.

TFG’s younger brother had received a gift that he just adored. (toy cars, I believe). Seeing how much his younger brother loved the toy, TFG took them away and started playing with them.

The younger brother started crying and went to their Mother. What did she do? She took the toy away and locked it up. She didn’t punish TFG or tell him he was wrong. He didn’t care if the toy was locked up. It wasn’t his toy. Basically, she punished her youngest child because he bothered her.

Sick, sick family.

Haven’t seen anything yet regarding the committee’s vote on this report. Straight party line, would be my guess.

I really don’t think they currently have the whip hand on this.

The release of this report makes me question Tucker Carlson’s pout-rage yesterday over Garland’s supposed weaponization of the DOJ under Biden. It’s as if he knew the Senate would drop this report today and wanted to muddy the water. “See, everyone does it!”

I hate to be overly concerned with process, but where do we go from here? Is there a DOJ referral? Every time Trump is found to have committed prosecutable offenses but they are not prosecuted, it adds to the sense that this is simply a political process.

So now they need to INDICT this criminal. Right now, Mr. Garland. There is nothing about this that needs negotiating or maneuvering. Time to raise the shithammer and swing it.

Sometimes when I encounter a young child who’s already a little shit like that, I get this disturbing vision of the long, hard life he’s going to lead. Here we see how it can play out. The presidency was just the same as his brother’s toy car. He wanted it, so he tried to take it. Too much and never enough, indeed.

And this seditious POS is going to be able to run for president?

The cynicism is mind-blowing. They count on the propaganda to ensure their followers never even LEARN about this stuff - and it works.

“Trump Likely Committed Criminal Offenses, Senate Report Says”

Doesn’t matter. Stealing 2022 and 2024 is already baked into the cake and the rest of us will be excoriated for our hypocrisy for suddenly being the ones with “conspiracy theories” about election stealing.

Yeah, don’t we need to start prosecuting this motherfucker so that he can’t, you know, run for president in 2024? Just sayin’….

I still wanna know what’s being done about those 10 prosecutable Felonies that Mueller uncovered. He fucking laid out a roadmap of how to prosecute TFG, but I see no effort to follow up on that. Very disturbing…:face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Look, folks, sometimes if I try to understand aloud someone’s rationale for a thing, it’s taken as if I approve of that rationale. That’s usually not the case so I’ll officially say I’m agnostic on this one and if you take it any other way and try to lecture me I’ll take points off for poor reading comprehension.

That said, there seems to be a pattern where the DOJ is loath to prosecute anyone who’s a political enemy of this administration’s for fear of being seen as doing exactly what the last administration did. Everyone rails against them but there are pretty obvious downsides to simply federally charging people who deserve it as though this context weren’t there. I don’t know what they ought to do, but I can’t unsee this aspect of things. They do seem ready to enforce the House subpoenas in its own investigation. But in general, I think there’s been a decision to err on the side of keeping their hands off when it could look like political retaliation and further weaponizing of the DOJ.
