Folks back home don’t like wimmin; don’t like dark wimmin. We need men who look like Ron Johnson.

Was Collin’s brow furrowed with concern? Or does that only happen during impeachments?

It’s unfortunate. The solution is to add enough Democrats to the Senate in 2022, that we can tell Manchild Manchin and Cinema Sinema to go f*** themselves.

But for now, apologize to her and move on.

I am wondering if the postponement is a good thing for Tanden and the admin.

I am not feeling like a loss here would have wider implications. Is this considered true? or would we be reading stories about how the admin suffered a “black eye”

They have excused and voted for far worse tweeters in the past year or two, although they have never been faced with voting for anything but white guys, so that explains it in my book.

Either the President is going to make a call to Joe Manchin or the administration is withdrawing her nomination. Either way Joe, I am the king of the world, Manchin is going to be on the President’s shit list.

I’d hope they’d draw the line at ‘think and sound like…’
Unfortunately, evidence is they don’t get much beyond ‘look.’

I’m guessing that Sen. Sanders is enjoying boxing up the shards and shipping them back to the White House. In Washington DC, folks have long memories. And scalping is a pro sport.

I’m sure that the ambivalence toward women of color has nothing whatsoever to do with them being women of color. I’m sure it stems from a desire to have comity in government.
Yeah. That’s it.

If Joe Manchin wins here he proves he is the defacto President. For the next two years everything has to go through him.

Heh heh heh. This isn’t high school student council. Delicious move, senator.

Get rid of her. And then everybody stop using Twitter. It’s neither for the informed, nor for those who want to be informed, nor for the mature.

Not so. Just throw him a bone now and then.

Concern works for her.
Collins won re-election against a worthy candidate.
Mainers get the dingbat they deserve.

I disagree. Manchin is trying to prove he has real power. Remember a few weeks ago when he was whining that the Covid Relief Bill is too large, and Biden got his Republican governor to back the bill cutting Manchin off at the knees. This, along with the minimum wage bill, is Manchin regaining relevance.

I think if Manchin wins this battle, Deb Haaland is next. Deb Haaland is who he really doesn’t want.

That’s a very depressing thought.
