Prosecutors have reached their second plea deal with a defendant in the alleged kidnapping plot aimed at Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D), according to court documents filed Monday.
Behavior has consequences. This relatively unknown person will learn that lesson, more prominent folks in their endeavoring to reach their goals via corrupt and criminal means need to learn the same thing. There are many.
The statutory maximum sentence that the Court can impose is imprisonment for life, a fine of $250,000, five years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment
The other guy who pled out got six years. Federal, so at least five years with good behavior. Don’t cosplay silly movie plots while using bangbangs.
Though these clowns were based out of the west side of the state (if I recall) and the University of Michigan is in the south-east. And none of them seem to have been college attendees of any sort. They might actually get upset at the idea of being lumped in with “woke” college towns like Ann Arbor.
Alleged??? There is nothing alleged when the guy is pleading guilty. As the second person to plead guilty, the conspiracy is not alleged, it has been accepted as truth by the conspirators. The remaining persons facing charges are not facing charges of an alleged kidnapping plot only if they participated in it. I guess they are alleged to have participated in it, but the plot itself is not alleged.
Hmmm. He’ll testify to a plot that involved all of them, and describe their activities in detail, confirming the testimony of the narcs. His actions greatly increase the likelihood of their conviction. So…isn’t this kinda like ratting them out?
