It ends up at a similar place, but not quite the same thing as being willing to go into court, point at the other perp and say “he did it”.
We don’t know exactly what he’s committed to saying on behalf of the prosecution, though as was mentioned upthread, him being the second guy pleading guilty to conspiracy to kidnap moots the defense argument that there was no conspiracy.
It’s getting a bit late in the game for the other 3(?) to plead guilty. But it wouldn’t surprise me if the Thursday or Friday before the scheduled beginning of the trial the other co-conspirators throw themselves on the mercy of the court, hoping for less than a decade in prison.
From the plea deal:
The statutory maximum sentence that the Court can impose is imprisonment for life, a fine of $250,000, five years of supervised release, and a $100 special assessment
It’s too bad that the prison term can’t be longer.
One of the State of Michigan’s many nicknames is “The Wolverine State.”
Lighten up, Francis. It’s a quote from Goodfellas. I am very happy to see this gentlemen working with the justice system.
Gee, I’ll bet this brave member of the "Wolverine Watchmen” (LOL) looked a lot more fierce before he plead guilty & realized he’s going to prison. Dumbass.
One wonders if in their tiny minds the rest of the crew are not somehow thinking that “their President Donald J. Trump” will not somehow swoop in and pardon them all. You know they’re holding out hope!
Okay… Mr. Greenbeans.
