Schumer isn’t worried that it will actually happen, if that’s what you mean. He’s just highlighting repubs in disarray and doing his part to get a news cycle or two out of it. Repubs have no problem just flat out making up Dem positions and shouting it from the rooftops. I think it’s a good idea for us to do that with positions that the head of their party actually espouses.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a federal lawsuit seeking to block a House Judiciary Committee subpoena issued to a former prosecutor who played a key role in Bragg’s criminal investigation of ex-President Donald Trump.
Bragg’s lawsuit names as defendants Rep. Jim Jordan, the Ohio Republican who is Judiciary chair, the committee itself, and Mark Pomerantz, the prosecutor who resigned last year from Bragg’s office amid the Trump probe.

I’d have to agree with esp. the part about repubs in disarray. repubs never stop playing to the media who eat it up, Dems should too. I’d like to see more interviews with Schumer such as those Rachel has done with him in the past. He’s far more cunning and savvy than his mild manner would lead you to believe.

I’m liking this stance of taking the fight to republicans and getting them on the record for their lack of support for law enforcement and the rule of law - the basis for any civil society.
While he’s at it, I want to get republicans on record of supporting the recent ban on they attempted on the abortion pill.
Let’s get them on record for every unAmerican, undemocratic, anti-women stance they hold dear to their little blackened hearts.
This is definitely a winning strategy.
