Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) called on Senate Republicans on Monday to “take immediate action” on the Trump administration’s stonewalling of a whistleblower’s complaint about President Donald Trump.
OK,Schumer that’s a start but if there’s anything ever to vote for in the Senate maybe a nice long filibuster with these talking points would be helpful. Out loud, say it often in public, now is the time.
“Schumer sent a letter on Monday to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) urging him and his Republican colleagues to probe Trump’s alleged attempts to pressure Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden, the President’s top 2020 Democratic rival.”
It would be to do unto Mitch what Mitch has done to us. The Minority Leader has the power to slow Senate business to a glacial pace, but only if he chooses to use the power given to him. GOD! If I had a nickel for every time Mitch McConnell lamented while he was the Minority Leader, “Gee kids, there’s nothing I can do to get what I want from Reid and Obama because I don’t have the votes,” I’d have exactly nothing…
